Champion the next generation’s dreams.

This spring, let's celebrate today's Girl Scouts as they build leadership skills and realize their bright, bold futures.

2024 March 29

What's Inside

Last year, Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana opened doors to 4,644 members, including 3,316 girls and 1,328 adults, ensuring that financial barriers never hinder their Girl Scout journey. Generous support and dedication brought tangible change, like the new T-dock at Bear Creek Aquatic Camp, along with essential upgrades across our camps new latrines, refreshing cool down spaces, and more.

Contributions have also fueled transformative Girl Scout Leadership Experiences, like Operation Sister, Festival of the Arts, and Camp Shantituck 101, empowering our girls to reach for the stars.

Our goals shine bright in 2024, which includes a fundraising ambition of $600,000. This year, we also invite our friends to share their legacy with the next generation of Girl Scouts through the Juliette Gordon Low Society. But the excitement doesn't end there! GSK has launched a $1 million capital campaign to replace the pool at Camp Shantituck, and thanks to the incredible support, we're already halfway to our goal, with $490,000 raised.

I truly believe that Girl Scouts paves the way to future success for young women and I am committed to our mission. Together, we're not just shaping the future; we're building a world where every girl has the opportunity to unleash her potential and change the world.

Powering Girls’ Potential

We’re kicking off 2024 with a bang! With the support of our generous donors, we are providing more financial assistance for memberships, programming, camp opportunities, and so much more.

MAKEWAVESFOR FUTUREGIRLSCOUTS

After 70 treasured years, the time has come to reimagine new, modern, and accessible swimming pool facilities for Girl Scouts at Camp Shantituck. A necessary pool replacement –plus upgraded facilities for campers– is an exciting investment in girl leadership for current and future Girl Scouts.

With a newly-upgraded facility, Girl Scouts will find a joyful safe space to try new things, form lifelong memories, and master important life-long aquatic safety skills at camp.

Girl Scouts Give Patch Program

The Girl Scouts Give patch program will help Girl Scouts understand the importance of using things you’re doing every day to create good Sharing what we have at any age is an important way to support our Girl Scout sisters.

Girl Scouts can discover how they can give gifts of their time, talent, and financial resources. They’ll also learn ways to be a philanthropist for causes they care about, how they can be a sister to every Girl Scout, and why donating to Girl Scouts is a terrific investment for the future.

The Girl Scouts Give patch program is open to all Girl Scout grade levels–Daisy through Ambassador.

Inside Government: Girl Scout Day at the Kentucky State Capitol

Here’s to all the amazing trailblazers who are becoming a catalyst for change in our communities and the world! On March 12, over 100 Girl Scouts spent the day touring the Kentucky State Capitol, learning how government works at the state level and connecting with Kentucky’s women leaders. This annual event empowers Girl Scouts to take action on issues that impact girls in Kentucky.
