Questo numero di Bathings rappresenta un’edizione un po’ particolare, un numero “speciale” in cui, oltre a sintetizzare le ultime tendenze nel settore dell’arredo bagno, mostriamo quello che sta dietro la messa a punto di un prodotto. Il “backstage” di un’azienda italiana che crede nell’innovazione sotto tutti i punti di vista. Un’azienda con un solido know how, ma giovane nello spirito, che in queste pagine, vuole esprimere tutto il suo entusiasmo, la sua cultura e la voglia di fare.

About us Raccontare un’azienda non è mai cosa facile.

Soprattutto non è facile quando dietro alla complessità di una realtà dinamica e innovativa c’è la tradizione di un distretto con una storia importante. Allora nel racconto non è possibile tralasciare il territorio in cui si è sviluppata e le persone che in questo territorio ci vivono e in questa azienda lavorano.

Abbiamo cercato di farlo nella maniera piú diretta e sincera possibile, senza filtri o artifici, senza spettacolarizzazioni o effetti speciali.

Nel nuovo Company Profile c’è la quotidiana bellezza del paesaggio e la realtà produttiva e tecnologica. Ramak Fazel ha ritratto la disarmante disponibilità delle persone che ogni giorno fanno del loro meglio perché questa azienda progredisca e il territorio continui a vivere. Il Prof. Cimarra ha raccontato invece l’affascinate storia che ci ha preceduto e che parte da lontano. Da molto lontano.

Von einem Unternehmen zu erzählen, ist nie ganz einfach. Vor allem, wenn sich hinter dem Komplex einer dynamischen und innovativen Realität die Tradition eines Landstrichs mit einer so bedeutenden Geschichte verbirgt.

Lo speciale smalto Extraglaze® rende le superfici ceramiche più levigate, brillanti e facilmente pulibili. La caratteristica più evidente è l’assenza della tradizionale bordatura, la brida, all’interno della quale, in un normale wc, circola l’acqua al momento dello scarico. La particolare conformazione del sistema Swirlflush® direziona l’acqua sulle superfici ceramiche in maniera uniforme, assicurando una pulizia ottimale, migliorando le performance di scarico e riducendo al minimo il rumore.

With a constant desire to enhance the quality of the bathroom, GSI engineers have studied and developed the revolutionary Swirlflush® flushing system. The most evident characteristic is the absence of the traditional edge, the rim, inside which, in a standard WC, water circulates when flushing. The special shape of the Swirlflush® system steers flush water evenly on ceramic surfaces, ensuring perfect cleansing and better draining, and minimising noise. The Swirlflush® design means there are no parts that are hidden or difficult to reach, and thus routine cleaning operations are made easier. This, combined with the Extraglaze® coating, makes surfaces extremely smooth, ensuring perfect hygiene with the minimum effort. To demonstrate the ability of the Swirlflush® to clean ceramic surfaces, we covered the WC bowl with ink. The result can be seen in the sequence of shots.

The flushing system activates a rotating flow of water that guarantees the perfect cleansing of the sanitary ware. A complete wash consumes just 4,5 litres of water.

Zum Beweis von Swirlflushs® Fähigkeit, Keramikflächen zu reinigen, haben wir die Innenseite des WC-Beckens mit Tinte begossen. Das Ergebnis ist in der Bilderreihe zu sehen. Test #2/5 SAWDUST Secondo le normative di settore l’efficienza di scarico del wc deve garantire una lavabilità delle superfici testata distribuendo 20 gr di segatura all’interno del bacino del wc. Il video dimostra la capacità di Swirlflush® di espellere completamente ogni residuo di polvere di legno.

According to sanitary ware regulations the flushing efficiency of a WC and cleanability of its surfaces is tested by sprinkling 20g of sawdust in the WC bowl.

The video shows the ability of the Swirlflush® system to completely remove all traces of the sawdust.

According to legislation, the flushing efficiency of a WC is tested by its ability to discharge 12 sheets of single-layer toilet paper. We tripled this amount, testing Swirlflush® with 36 sheets of paper!

Test #4/5 PLASTIC BALLS Il test deve essere effettuato con 50 biglie di materiale non assorbente aventi un diametro di 20 mm.

Il test viene considerato superato se il sistema di scarico riesce ad evacuare almeno l’85% delle biglie.

Swirlflush® non ha lasciato una sola biglia al termine del risciacquo.

The test must be carried out using 50 balls of a non-absorbent material having a diameter of 20 mm.

The test is passed if the flushing system manages to discharge at least 85% of the balls. In the test Swirlflush® removed all the balls upon the completion of flushing.

Dieser Test wird mit 50 Kugeln aus nicht saugendem Material mit einem Durchmesser von 20 mm durchgeführt. Der Test gilt als bestanden, wenn es dem Spülsystem gelingt, mindestens 85% der Kugeln abzuspülen. Swirlflush® hat nicht einmal eine einzige Kugel am Ende des Spülvorgangs zurückgelassen.

Test #5/5 AFTER FLUSH Il test mira a verificare l’efficienza del sistema di scarico attraverso la misurazione del volume di acqua riamanente dopo l’evacuazione del 4° solido di prova. Tale residuo di acqua non deve essere inferiore a 2,5 lt. Anche in questo caso Swirlflush® garantisce la sua efficienza.

The test seeks to gauge the efficiency of the flushing system by measuring the volume of water left after the discharge of the 4th test solid. The amount of water remaining must not be less than 2.5l. Here too Swirlflush® passed the test with flying colours.

Dieser Versuch zielt darauf, die Wirksamkeit des Spülsystems durch die Messung des Restwasservolumens nach dem Wegspülen des 4. festen Testkörpers zu messen. Diese Restwassermenge darf nicht unter 2,5 l liegen.

Auch bei diesem Versuch hat Swirlflush® seine Leistungsfähigkeit unter Beweis gestellt.

softclose + quickrelease GSI ceramica introduce un nuovo copriwater con un innovativo sistema di installazione. Il nuovo sistema “Quick Release” si contraddistingue per la facilità con cui permette di estrarre il copriwater in maniera semplice e senza l’impiego di utensili di alcun genere. È sufficiente tirare il copriwater verso l’alto esercitando una forza sufficiente alla sua estrazione. In questo modo sarà possibile eseguire le operazioni di pulizia del copriwater e del wc anche nelle superfici generalmente difficili da raggiungere garantendo una maggiore igiene. Altrettanto semplice sarà il riposizionamento del copriwater: una volta posizionato in corrispondenza delle cerniere sarà sufficiente esercitare una pressione relativamente debole. In abbinamento al sistema di chiusura soft-close i copriwater GSI raggiungono livelli di efficienza e comfort senza precedenti.

Il sistema soft-close predispone il copriwater per una chiusura rallentata.

Questo consentirà di evitare cadute accidentali e chiusure del copriwater troppo violente garantendo comfort ed evitando danni accidentali.

GSI ceramica introduces a new seat & cover with an innovative installation system. The new “Quick Release” system is distinguished by the simplicity with which it allows to pull out the seat & cover in a simple way and without the use of any kind of tool. Simply pull the seat & cover up using a sufficient force for its removal. This will make it possible to clean the toilet seat and even the wc in areas that are usually difficult to reach, granting a major hygiene. Repositioning the seat & cover is as simple; once placed on the hinges, it will be will be sufficient to employ a relatively weak pressure. Matching up with the soft-close system, the GSI seat & covers reach levels of efficiency and comfort never reached before. The soft-close system predisposes the seat & cover for a slow closing. This will prevent accidental falls and violent closures of the seat & cover, preventing damages.

GSI ceramica führt einen neuen WC-Sitz mit einem innovativen Installationssystem ein.Das neue „Quick Release“ System unterschiedet sich von anderen durch die Einfachheit, mit der der WC-Sitz ohne den Einsatz von Werkzeugen abgenommen werden kann. La collezione Kube, un sistema di lavabi minimalista molto ampio e ricco di soluzioni, migliora ancora le sue possibilità di impiego con l’introduzione di due nuovi lavabi con bacino asimmetrico, entrambi disponibili nelle varianti con piano d’appoggio destro o sinistro.

I lavabi 80/d/s e 60/d/s costituiscono ulteriori versioni rispettivamente ai lavabi 80 e 60.

Con la caratteristica conformazione asimmetrica, i nuovi lavabi 80 e 60 mantengono le caratteristiche distintive della collezione aggiungendo versatilità e confort grazie al piano laterale che costituisce una utile base d’appoggio.

The Kube collection is a set of minimalist washbasins offering a host of different solutions. Possible uses have been further expanded with the introduction of two new asymmetrical washbasins, both available with a left or right side-tap area. Washbasins 80/d/s and 60/d/s are further versions of the basic 80 and 60 basins. With their characteristic asymmetrical shape, the new 80 and 60 washbasins retain the distinctive traits of the collection while adding versatility and comfort, thanks to the useful top on one side of the basin.
