Pietro Mastrangeli / Augusto Piccioni addetti collaudatori all’impianto robot n.1 per la produzione di piatti doccia.

Verificano la qualità del lavoro che fa la macchina e ne curano la manutenzione ordinaria. Hanno entrambi una lunghissima esperienza, Pietro lavora in GSI dal 1979. A casa si dedica a coltivare un orto. Augusto è arrivato tre anni prima nel 1976. Ha un appezzamento di terra coltivato a nocciole dove passa gran parte del suo tempo libero.

Testers for the robot that controls shower tray production. They check the quality of the machine’s work and carry out routine maintenance. Both have long experience - Pietro has worked at GSI since 1979, and at home works on growing his vegetable garden. Augusto started three years earlier in 1976 and spends most of his free time tending to his hazelnut grove.

Rudolf Zizay sceglitore del prodotto finito, lavora in GSI da dodici anni. Tutti i sanitari passano dal suo reparto e ogni singolo pezzo viene ispezionato e testato scrupolosamente prima di passare all’imballaggio.

Hand picks the finished product, and has been working at GSI for 12 years. Every unit passes through his department and each one is rigorously inspected and tested before being packed.

crisis brings progress!

I periodi di crisi rappresentano momenti di profonda riflessione e trasformazione e come affermava Einstein “[…] è nella crisi che sorge l’inventiva, le scoperte e le grandi strategie […]”. In GSI abbiamo deciso di considerare la crisi un centro propulsivo da cui far scaturire delle novità. Non già motivo di stasi, quanto piuttosto origine di un dinamismo orientato al superamento delle difficoltà e della routine.

Uno stimolo a lavorare duro e a dare il meglio di noi stessi per contribuire, con i nostri mezzi, a sostenere il buon nome del “Made in Italy”.

Quale migliore occasione, dunque, per presentare al nostro “pubblico” non soltanto le novità di prodotto quanto piuttosto e soprattutto i veri attori del nostro successo, il vero volto di GSI ceramica.

Nelle prossime pagine di questo terzo numero di Bathings, per la prima volta, avremmo il grande piacere di presentarvi quanti con il loro impegno, esperienza e dedizione contribuiscono al raggiungimento dei risultati ottenuti dall’azienda negli ultimi anni.

GSI ceramica è fatta di persone e sono tutte in prima linea, tutte desiderose di lottare per superare la crisi. È grazie al loro impegno che riusciamo ad offrire ai nostri partner non soltanto prodotti di qualità, ma soprattutto qualità nei rapporti.

Periods of crisis are moments of profound reflection and transformation.

To quote Albert Einstein: ‘It is in time of crisis that inventiveness, discoveries, and big strategies take place[...].” At GSI we decided to view the crisis as a starting point from which bring forth the new.

To see recession not as a cause of stagnation but rather a source of dynamism oriented to overcome difficulties. An incentive to work even harder in order to support the good name of “Made in Italy”.

What better opportunity, therefore, to present to our “public” not only new products but rather, and above all, the real protagonists of our success, the true face of GSI ceramics. In the next few pages of this third issue of Bathings, for the first time, we have the great pleasure to introduce many of the people who with their commitment, experience and dedication contribute to the achievement of the results obtained by the company in recent years. GSI pottery is made up of people and they are all in the forefront, all with the single desire to struggle to overcome the crisis. It is thanks to their efforts that we are able to offer our partners not only quality products, but also quality in relationships.

GSI’s people as seen by Ramak Fazel I prodotti GSI sono fatti di terra, acqua, fuoco e di un’ingrediente unico e speciale. In ogni prodotto c’è la passione di tutte le persone che ogni giorno, a tutti i livelli, fanno del loro meglio e lo fanno bene perché credono in quello che fanno.

Ognuna di loro a suo modo, è un “artista” sempre pronto a trovare soluzioni nuove ed efficaci con l’obiettivo dell’eccellenza.

Urbano Marcellini addetto al reparto colaggio dei sanitari. Ha una grande esperienza maturata in ben trentatrè anni di lavoro. La sua soddisfazione più grande è raccogliere i frutti del suo l’orto.

Assigned to the casting department for the sanitary wares. He has extensive experience over thirty-three years of service. His greatest satisfaction is to gather the produce from his vegetable garden.

Antonio Ruggeri rifinitore, ogni pezzo uscito dallo stampo passa nelle sue mani per essere rifinito. In GSI da 12 anni, ha una grande esperienza: questo lavoro lo svolge da 30. Nel tempo libero quando non è a pescare si diverte un mondo a ballare.

Each piece out of the mold passes through his hands in order to be finished. Has been at GSI for 12 years, but has been doing this work for 30 years. In his spare time when not fishing he loves dancing.

Mario Farinelli rifinitore, nel suo reparto si rifiniscono i vasi e i bidet. Lavora in GSI da 23 anni. La sua passione più grande è coltivare l’orto ma gli piace molto anche passeggiare.

His department puts the finishing touches on bidets and WCs. Has worked at GSI for 23 years. His greatest passion is to cultivate his garden but also really likes walking.

Massimo D’Ubaldo responsabile del reparto smaltatura e collaudo.

Si occupa della programmazione dei robot con la tecnica dell’autoapprendimento: manualmente compie tutte le operazioni di smaltatura che vengono poi memorizzate dal robot e ripetute infinite volte esattamente come lui gli ha “insegnato”.

Dal 1997 lavora in GSI, arriva tutte le mattine alle cinque e mezza. Nel week-end, quando può, gioca a tennis.

Head of glazing and testing department. He deals with the programming of the robot with the self-learning technique : he manually performs all the technical tasks which are then stored by the robot and repeated countless times exactly as he has the “taught”. Has worked at GSI since 1997, arriving at 05.30 every morning.

At the weekend, when he can, plays tennis.

Renato Gregori in GSI da 13 anni, si occupa del controllo qualità e dell’assistenza tecnica, spesso è anche impegnato in montaggi particolari di stands e punti vendita. Da agosto è diventato papà e di tempo libero non ne ha più ma aspetta impaziente che sua figlia cresca per tornare a pescare e portarla con sé.

With GSI for 13 years, in charge of quality control and technical support. He is also often involved in the installation of stands and showrooms. He became a father in August so does not have any more free time but cannot wait till his daughter grows up he can take her fishing with him.

Emanuele Corsi ingegnere meccanico, è responsabile di produzione e responsabile della sicurezza. Lavora allo sviluppo tecnologico dei sistemi di produzione.

Ha una piantagione di nocciole che coltiva personalmente. Da sette anni pratica body building.

Mechanical engineer, in charge of production and safety. Works at the technological development of production systems. He has a hazelnut grove which he looks after in person. Has been a bodybuilder for seven years.

Luca Pistola Operatore tecnico, ha contribuito allo sviluppo dei nuovi sistemi di stampaggio ad alta pressione e automazione. Lavora in GSI da 7 anni.

Appassionato di “noctografia”, una particolare tecnica fotografica notturna, utilizza come mezzo espressivo la luce artificiale per creare forme, disegni, mondi immaginari. Riesce a stare seduto sulla sua Harley Davidson a telaio rigido per 1200 chilometri in un solo weekend.

Technical operator, contributing to the development of new systems for high pressure molding and automation. Has worked at GSI for 7 years.

Passionate about “noctografia”, a photographic technique for night-time, using artificial light as an expressive medium for creating shapes, designs, and imaginary worlds. Able to stay on his rigid framed Harley Davidson for 1200 kilometers in a single weekend.

Dino Rossi Presidente di GSI, ha idee nuove, spirito imprenditoriale e un grande occhio per la “forma”, si occupa personalmente di coordinare designers e ufficio tecnico nel progetto e nello sviluppo dei prodotti. Geneticamente predisposto all’innovazione, da piccolo passava molto tempo con suo nonno che addestrava cavalli con un metodo avveniristico per l’epoca: usava la parola, la sensibilità e la dolcezza. Di tempo libero ne ha pochissimo e il poco che ha lo dedica alla famiglia.

President of GSI, has new ideas, entrepreneurial spirit and a great eye for design. He personally takes care of coordinating designers and technicians in the design and development of the products. With innovation in his genes, since he was a child he spent much time with his grandfather who trained horses with a method ahead of its time: he used the words, the sensitivity and affection. He has very little leisure time and what little he has is devoted to his family.

I lavabi, nelle misure 120, 100 e 55 completano la gamma di soluzioni a disposizione per risolvere ogni esigenza di spazio nell’arredo della sala da bagno. Il wc monoblocco disponibile con cassetta accoppiata di ceramica in duplice versione costituisce un prodotto di servizio funzionale ma comunque elegante.
