Our Impact
Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma is delighted to share over 5,600 girls and adult members across our 30-county service area were provided with programs and training in STEAM, Outdoors, Life Skills, and Entrepreneurship this year. GSEOK is thankful for our community of volunteers and donors who ensure every girl has the opportunity and the tools to build courage, confidence, and character.

Most Popular STEAM Badge for Brownie Girl Scouts: Space Science Adventurer
In 2025, we launched our first Pumpkin Chunkin’ event, bringing Girl Scouts of multiple age levels together for a fun, hands-on STEAM experience. Girls worked in teams to design creative pumpkin launchers, building skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and engineering. The event received enthusiastic feedback from both participants and troop leaders, and we look forward to hosting it again next year with continued improvements.
We also introduced Crafternoons in 2025, a hands-on crafting adventure with a STEAM-inspired twist. These engaging experiences invited Girl Scouts of all levels to create, experiment, and explore through fun, project-based activities. Crafternoons helped girls strengthen problem-solving skills, think creatively, and build confidence while discovering the exciting connections between crafting, innovation, and STEAM learning.

Most Popular Outdoors Badge for Junior Girl Scouts: Outdoor Art Explorer
On June 17–18, 2025, campers in the Advanced Waterbugs group at Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma’s Ski Camp learned from April Coble Eller, a former World Champion and USA Water Ski Hall of Fame inductee. April spent two days providing personalized coaching, technical instruction, and sharing experiences from her elite career. Beyond skill-building, her presence showed girls what is possible through dedication and confidence.
Ski Camp at Camp Tallchief is the only Girl Scout program of its kind in the country, offering girls a unique opportunity to master water skiing in a supportive, empowering environment. For many campers, meeting a world champion was not only exciting—it was inspiring.

Most Popular Life Skills Badge for Senior Girl Scouts: First Aid
The Staff-Led Troops program continues to make a significant impact on the lives of girls from underserved communities by providing consistent, supportive, and empowering opportunities for personal growth and development. Through our expanded 16-week model, girls had increased access to positive adult role models, peer connections, and research-based curriculum designed to build leadership, resilience, and confidence. As a result, girls demonstrated meaningful growth across all core outcome areas.
Sense of Self – 94% had confidence in themselves and formed positive identities. Positive Values – 85% acted ethically, honestly, and responsibly.
Healthy Relationships – 83% developed and maintained healthy relationships.
In 2025, our Girl Scouts Beyond Bars program hosted a Father’s Day Extravaganza at Dick Conner Correctional Center, bringing food, fun, and moments that truly touched the heart. One mom shared how she sat in the parking lot crying as she watched her daughter and her father incarcerated since her child was just a year old—play catch together for the very first time. Many families reunited after years apart, and for the first time, dads from different units gathered peacefully, completely focused on their kids, and the love in the room was undeniable.

Most Popular Entrepreneurship Badge for Cadette Girl Scouts: Cookie Entrepreneur
In 2025, we introduced new and creative ways for Girl Scouts to participate in the Cookie Program by expanding sales opportunities through community and special events. From local celebrations like MayFest to exciting sporting events such as hockey games, girls were able to engage with supporters in fresh, fun, and meaningful settings. These experiences not only helped strengthen sales success but also built girls’ confidence, communication, and entrepreneurial skills.
Additionally, we began preparing for the launch of a new cookie flavor coming in 2026, the Exploremores, generating excitement for the year ahead.

Behind every Girl Scout are family members, teachers, and Girl Scout volunteers, ready with encouragement, belief, and support. Our mission cannot be fulfilled without the time, talents, and efforts invested by our 1,129 volunteers for the benefit of every girl served.
