Bioinformatics Candidates - Issue 19

Please note that we have two candidates scheduled to visit for the Bioinformatics position this week. The first candidate will be available today and tomorrow, while the second will be here on Thursday and Friday. Kindly review the schedule and insert yourself wherever feasible (links provided below). Additionally, we encourage your participation in the roundtable discussions. 1.) Robert Cooper (CV Link) will be on the Statesboro Campus on Monday, April 1, and on the Armstrong Campus on Tuesday, April 2.

Research Interests: Uses computational and experimental approaches to study the intersection of ecology, ecophysiology, and genomics with applications to conservation and management with specific interests in salamanders.

2.) Yong Zhang (CV Link) will be on the Armstrong Campus on the afternoon of Thursday, April 4, and on the Statesboro Campus on Friday, April 5.

Research Interests: incorporates computational and experimental perspectives to understand host and fungi associated with pathogenicity that can be used as targets to optimize disease management programs as well as understand genomic evolutionary mechanisms underlying fungal adaptation to changing environment
