3.DesignationofNewFieldStationonEastGeorgiaCampusinSwainsboro.

WehavereceivedapprovalfromtheOfficeofthePresident,theProvost’sOffice,andtheOffice ofResearchtoformallydesignatealargeareaofforestedlandforthedevelopmentofafield stationMuchofthislandwasgenerouslydonatedbytheGambrellFamilyAsaninitialstep,we plantoprepareabriefletteroutliningtheintendedpurposeofthesite,includingpotential researchandeducationalactivities,toprovidethefamilywithaclearoverviewofhowtheir donationwillbemeaningfullyutilized.

TheCoastalCarbonLaboratoryrecentlyvisitedtheTybeeOysterCompanyfarmformonthly maintenanceonourreal-timeenvironmentalmonitoringbuoy,whichtrackskeywater-qualityand carbonate-chemistryconditionsintheestuary.WewerejoinedbyDr.EdwardLo’sStratigraphyand Sedimentationclass(GEOL5142),whocollectedsedimentcoresaspartoftheirfield-based coursework Thetripbroughttogetherundergraduateandgraduatestudentsacrossgeology, environmentalscience,andmarinebiogeochemistry,highlightinghowcoastalfieldsitescansupport bothlong-termresearchandhands-onteaching

Confirmthatyouareastateemployee(notacontracteddriver). Choose"Iamanewdriver"andcompletetherequiredtraining.

Completethe“StatewideFuelCardStandardsandGuidelinesforDrivers”andthecorresponding video.
