+ 200 Leave No Trace - Learn how GSCB embraces Leave No Trace on it’s properties and how to bring these principles to your troop.

+ New Leader Training Series - A collection of valuable trainings full of information for getting started with your new Girl Scout Troop. This is a required part of onboarding for new leaders, and an encouraged refresher for returning and veteran volunteers.

+ 200 Adult Recognition and Appreciation - Learn about the formal recognition process for GSUSA, GSCB, and Service Unit recognitions.

+ GSUSA Delivering Inclusive Program - Practice using inclusive and equitable language to support the identities of all Girl Scouts and foster a cohesive troop environment.

In a 2020 Girl Scout Research Institute Study, of volunteers reported that they make friends through their service as a Girl Scout volunteer & became more involved in their communities.

How can that happen for you this program year?

+ Attend your Service Unit meetings! These are the volunteers with real-life experience who have your back when you have a question or need advice, and they value your input when planning Service Unit events and programs.

+ Stay connected to GSCB and your fellow volunteers by subscribing to our emails, reading our bi-monthly Volunteer Newsletters, and following us on social media.

+ Not only attending in-person volunteer trainings, but come out to the fun stuff too! We’d love seeing your faces at our Volunteer Getaway Event in the spring.

+ Join us for a What Can GSCB Do For You? Call. They happen bi-monthly and are an open forum for you to ask questions, seek advice, make suggestions, or just listen in!

As a Girl Scout volunteer, you have access to a library of trainings via gsLearn that you can complete at your own pace!

Outdoor Adventurer Day

Come with your troop or as an individual Girl Scout and spend the day with us in the great outdoors.

Adventurer Days usually include nature walks, archery/ slingshot, and an introduction to environmental stewardship.

Fun patches provided.

Outdoor Adventurer Overnight

Come with your troop or as an individual Girl Scout and stay overnight at camp. This is a great option for Girl Scouts to try out staying away from home at camp.

Adventurer Overnights usually include nature exploration, outdoor camp activities.

Girl Scouts will earn the Environmental Stewardship Badge for their program level.

Come with your troop or as an individual Girl Scout and stay for the weekend. This is a great option for Girl Scouts thinking about attending summer camp for the first time.

Girl Scout families will participate in camp activities and nature exploration together! This is a great opportunity for Girl Scouts who are interested in camp but would like to experience it with a parent or caregiver first.

Virtual Baking/Cooking

Throughout the year, we have multiple opportunities for Girl Scouts to learn how to cook or bake specific dishes via Zoom. Adult supervision strongly recommended for these events.

What we’re making this year: Baked apples with oatmeal filling, molasses cookies, no-bake energy balls, loaded baked potatoes, ice cream and no-bake cheesecake.

The pandemic has taught us some difficult lessons, but it has also equipped us with the skills to deliver awesome programs right to your living room!

Virtual programs are led by GSCB staff and are designed to be interactive and accessible to all Girl Scouts at the designated program level.

Founder’s Day Party - Join GSCB for a virtual dance party to celebrate the birthday of our founder, Juliette Gordon Low, and Halloween. Costumes are encouraged but not required.

Mental Health Program - No matter your age, it’s always the right time to check in with yourself. How are you doing? What can you do to take care of yourself? Learn some self-care tips and chat with other Girl Scouts about the importance of good mental health.

Trefoil Painting - If you’re a crafty Girl Scout, we know you’ll love this opportunity to paint your own Girl Scout Trefoil while chatting with other Girl Scouts.

Winter Caroling - Girl Scouts love singing - that’s a given! If you can’t get out to go caroling in your community, come carol with us! We’ll sing some winter favorites together.

Black History Month Program - Black History Month offers us an opportunity to slow down and reflect on the important contributions of Black Americans and pay tribute to a rich history.

World Thinking Day - Join us for an inpsired and interactive conversation celebrating our differences and similiarities.

Let Your Program Passport Be Your Guide to the Best Girl Scout Year Yet!

New this year! - Each Girl Scout registered by October 15th should receive a Program Passport in the mail to get them started on their journey. Through their travels, Girl Scouts will earn “stamps” for completing Girl Scout program activities like earning badges or participating in the Cookie Program.

Each girl who completes her passport will get a free GSCB Scrunchie Bracelet and an entry to win our grand prize - a free week at summer camp*!

*Valid summer 2024. If winner is a graduating senior, she will get a free lifetime membership to Girl Scouts.

Become a V.I.C. (Very Invested Camper)

The V.I.C. program is in it’s third year and we have a long way to go before we’ve got enough of the outdoors. Becoming a V.I.C. gives you access to exclusive in-person camp-themed events, quarterly newsletters, early access to summer camp registration, summer camp discount, and more.

Enrollment is open from September 1st, 2022 - November 30th, 2022.

Intersted in providing your troop with a hands-on experience but don’t have the resources or expertise? We’ve got you covered! Request a Program on the Move experience and we’ll bring everything you need to your meeting location, including a staff member to facilitate the program for you - for FREE.

Earn Highest Awards

Only a select number of Girl Scouts each year can celebrate earning the highest level of award for their program level - the Bronze, Silver, or Gold Award - will you be one of them this year? Taking on a highest awards project is a significant commitment, but trust us, creating a sustainable impact on your community and addressing a problem you feel passionate about is SO worth it!

Highest Awards projects are available to Girl Scout Juniors through Ambassadors.

Start Trailblazing with Troop 280

Interested in large scale travel opportunities? If you’re an older Girl Scout, look no further than the GSCB Trailblazer Troop (a.k.a. Troop 280). Joining this group is an opportunity for fundraising and travel goals beyond your current troop participation. In summer 2022, Troop 280 spent 14 days at Kandersteg International Scout Camp in Switzerland.

Fall Product Program

Things to love about fall: crunchy leaves, fall colors, chilly air, pumpkin spice, and the Girl Scout Fall Product Program! By participating in the Fall Product Program, Girl Scouts set and achieve goals by selling magazines, nuts, and candy that set them up with funds for a fun-filled Girl Scout year.

The 2022 Fall Product Program beings September 30, 2022 and ends on November 2nd in-person, and November 6th online.

This year’s Fall Product theme is “Go Bright Ahead” and our mascot is the Hawaiian Monk Seal.

It’s famous for a reason - the Girl Scout Cookie Program powers life-changing programs and experiences for Girl Scouts. Customers stock up on their favorite treats and girls stack up the skillsgoal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, business ethics, and more!

The 22-23 Cookie Program tentatively begins December 10th online and January 7th in person.
