GSTOP Diversity Statement

Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains and our Girl Scouts of the USA sisterhood stand for all to ensure inclusion, diversity, equity, and access as we equip girls with courage, confidence, and character. We believe racism and hate have no place here, as Girl Scouts is a place for all girls to belong.

We can acknowledge that we don’t always have the answers, but as Girl Scouts, we must ensure that we are present for all our girls and volunteers. We must ensure that we continue to build women leaders who are prepared to lead their communities, especially in times of crisis. Let our actions speak louder than words. A pivotal part of Girl Scouting is teaching and helping girls, as well as volunteers, to Take Action to make the world a better place.

Approved 12/08/2021 by the GSTOP Board of Directors

Dear Girl Scout Members, Donors, Friends, and Families,

Excitement filled the air at Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains in membership year 2022-2023.

We celebrated Girl Scouting at the 56th Tri-annual Girl Scouts of the USA Convention and Phenom by Girl Scouts in Orlando, Florida.

More than 7,300 registered for in-person Girl Scout activities, while another 787 registered for virtual programming. 262 Girl Scouts earned Highest Awards honors, more than 700 attended summer camp, and 82 traveled across the United States on official GSTOP travel trips.

Our volunteers continued to learn how to build girls of courage, confidence, and character with more than 2,400 attending training opportunities, as well as the annual Volunteer Leadership Summit.

Enclosed you will find the annual report. We encourage you to spend some time reading and learning about all the successes our Girl Scouts achieved this past year. Our annual report is not just a publication on Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains as a council, but a reflection on the great work of our Girl Scouts and volunteers.

While Girl Scouts may change year after year as we adjust programming and activities to meet the needs of today’s Girl Scouts, our mission remains steadfast: building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

Thank you for believing in the power of Girl Scouts!

Sincerely,

Sandy Kautz Leadership Center

Sandy Kautz Leadership Center Dedication

Sandy Kautz’s name is synonymous with Girl Scouts. From a girl to an executive to a lifelong member and volunteer, her 80 years of Girl Scouting impacted so many across the movement.

Before her death in 2022, Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains had the opportunity to celebrate Sandy in person for her 80 years of Girl Scouting. Sandy’s dedication to Fort Worth and the Girl Scout movement was unmistakable. She created a legacy that few will ever repeat.

Family and friends joined together on April 1, 2023, to celebrate the official renaming of the Fort Worth office to the Sandy Kautz Leadership Center.

The Power of Girl Scouts

Invest in Girl Scouts. Change the World.

Girls are the leaders and innovators that our future world requires and being Girl Scouts gives them the tools they need to succeed. With your help, we can continue to create and optimize an environment where girls explore freely, expand their perspectives, and discover the unimaginable. As Girl Scouts, they’re part of a movement that encourages them to take action and supports their confidence to drive change. You play a critical role in making it all happen. Help girls discover their untapped potential and watch as they become the leaders that our businesses, communities, and planet need. Let’s get started!
