Words to watch Druid The style of my works is deeply influenced by the avant-garde movements of the early twentieth century, which have revolutionized my approach to art: the bold use of color, the ability to express deep emotions through simple yet vibrant forms, the pursuit of harmony and beauty through the use of pure colors are my guiding principles. Picasso, for instance, inspires me to explore new artistic dimensions; Cocteau encourages me to seek out new modes of expression. For my debut solo exhibition in Florence, I have tried to craft a holistic artistic journey that seamlessly marries tradition with contemporary

Luminous syncretism Slim Greige I have lived abroad in unique places such as the former British West Indies (Caribbean), the US and England. Yet my search for beauty and culture as well as my Italian origins have always pushed me to travel to Italy, with a special regard to Rome and Tuscany. I remember being with my family in our kitchen facing the ocean on this tiny speck of Caribbean island around 1998, searching for hotels online for our very own Grand tour.

For Florence our first choice was the Hotel Lungarno, then recently restored

The Ar no is a real, living r iver, constantly flowing. Its color changes with the seasons, and its level r ises and falls.

Over the centur ies, the city has evolved around its movement, and we have played our par t in this tr ansfor mation. We are named Lungar no Collection because we were bor n and grew along the Ar no, and the greatest lesson this r iver has taught us is the impor tance of continuous and per petual evolution, always respecting the sur roundings.

We are located in front of the Ponte Vecchio, which embodies histor y, ar t, and culture; we are also in front of the r iver, which represents nature .

Sustainability is a widely discussed topic , and when we think about this cr ucial value , we can only express and pr actice it in the place we belong to and are deeply connected with.

The ways in which we suppor t our urban environment have greatly evolved: from being a Florentine company providing jobs to locals, to r unning restaur ants that champion local excellence and producer s, to careful waste management and conscious ener gy use . Our activism now extends to protecting our streets and neighborhoods, as well as engaging in urban regener ation, such as the renovation of a street section.

Our stor y is destined to evolve fur ther, enr iched by new destinations.
