In 1970, Tignanello was labelled “Chianti Classico Riserva”, but the following year the wine was produced by using an innovative method: international grape varieties blended with Sangiovese. This wine is considered to be one of the first so-called Supertuscans, topquality wines bursting with personality and elegance.
