1MUSART FESTIVAL 2022 16-26 July Once again this year, Piazza Santissima Annunziata will be enlivened by music, dance, exhibitions and visits to the most attractive art venues in central Florence. Headlining the 2022 edition are Roberto Bolle, LP, Achille Lauro, Vinicio Capossela, Goran Bregovic, Rock The Opera, Steve Hackett and Dado Moroni. An event that combines top names in show business with the age-old allure of Florence.

VILLE E GIARDINI INCANTATI until 6 August The maestros of Orchestra della Toscana perform in the 6th edition of Ville e Giardini Incantati in Florence’s Medici villas. The programme features classics by Mozart and Beethoven, Haydn and Prokofiev in 16 concerts in the gorgeous outdoor spaces of 8 Tuscan villas. The grand finale takes place on 6 August in the Medici garden of Pratolino, with music by Brahams and Mendelssohn conducted by Daniele Giorgi. Summer nights in Florence are illuminated by the outdoor film festival Apriti Cinema, screening in one of the world’s most exclusive settings, the courtyard of the Uffizi Galleries. Until 7 August, at 21:45 every evening, with free entry while seats are available, Italian and international audiences can enjoy a film in original language, with subtitles in Italian and occasionally English.

4FESTIVAL DE LA VERSILIANA until August A total of 43 performances featuring drama, dance, comedy and music for the 43rd La Versiliana Festival, running throughout August. Guests include Drusilla Foer, Panariello, the Gemelli di Guidonia, Neri Marcorè, Matteo Bocelli, Michele Zarrillo and many others.

5In July and August, film returns to the magnificent Belvedere Terrace at the Bardini Gardens: a cool and inviting spot with views of the entire city and, onscreen, a selection of this year’s blockbusters, timeless classics and films for all the family.
6INTERNATIONAL ANTIQUES BIENNALE 24 September -2 October The return of one of the leading international events for Italian art, with a packed cultural programme involving the entire city in Florence Art Week.
