How and when has the theater become a part of your life?

Quando e come il teatro è entrato nella sua vita?

Ho sempre desiderato un futuro nel teatro ma prevedendo una strada travagliata e complessa ho attivato molto presto un piano B, insegnare; e per un breve periodo l’ho anche fatto, ho insegnato latino e greco in un liceo. In teatro ho cominciato da attore, ma mai e cadde una cosa che cambiò tutto. Feci da assistente alla regia a Luca Ronconi al Piccolo Teatro di Milano. Mi piaceva quel meraviglioso mondo della regia, ma quando mi suggerì di esplorare la strada della scrittura - giudizio nato dagli appunti che gli scrivevo - fu la svolta, anche se c’è voluto del tempo prima che considerassi la scrittura come la mia principale attività.
