There is one thing that joins us all: the passion for our wines, for their authenticity, for that personality all their own that makes them unique.

The sum of this great group effort and enthusiasm makes it possible for this winery group to continue to grow and for our wines to reach more and more people around the world.

FROM UNITED KINGDOM Sommeliers, chef and event managers from the restaurant Barra Fina have set off on their journey to the winery.

This establishment, a temple to Spanish gastronomy in London’s Soho district, serves La Mar by the glass to its customers.

On the way to the Cíes Islands with Laura Callinan (Les Caves de Pyrene), Luigi Conca, chief sommelier at Carrigan’s, Giulia Isola and Edgar Fuentes (Twist), Romero (Bravas), Andre Dore (Corkage Bath), Jozsef Posta (Bob Bob Ricard) and Darren Ball (The Ivy).

Next stop: Bodegas Pittacum.

Journalists from RNE, Cinco DĂ­as, Hola, El Mundo, Yo Dona and La Vanguardia participated in a press trip to visit the winery and learn more about our research projects currently underway.

sustainability

Making progress towards greater environmental sustainability in the vineyard, the soil and the grapevines are the subjects of two new R&D projects we have undertaken.

The president, vice-president, CEO and enology director have presented them to the Galician media.

HORIZON 2020 This cross-disciplinary European project, promoted by a consortium of companies, research centers, techno-

logy parks, governmental institutions and universities from across Europe to find sustainable, efficient alternatives to phytosanitary products.

Biodiversity Terras Gauda, with the support of the CDTI, will work to restore the biodiversity of the soil, in cooperation with a winery in South America. The aim is to conduct experimental tests on winegrowing practices with the same objective, but in two geographic areas with different soil and climate conditions.

José María Fonseca Moretón has participated in the National Sailing Awards ceremony, sponsored by Terras Gauda.

For the 12th consecutive year, the Monte Real Yacht Club in Baiona hosted the event, which was attended by numerous celebrities from the world of sports, society, business and public institutions.

An event that is not to be missed by national sea and gastronomy lovers is the Vigo Sea Fest, which gathered thousands of people for three days around the port of Vigo. Many paid us a visit at our stand. It was nice to see you!

WINE TOURISM The purpose of our Wine Tourism plan is to allow you to feel a wide range of emotions as you have unique experiences in the vineyard and taste our wines.

This program is earning more and more fans. This summer we had more than 3000 visitors. We hosted cruise ship passengers from the port of Vigo and tourists from Spain and abroad.

Everyone is welcome!

On September 18, the most anticipated moment of the year began: the harvest.

These are days of intense activity in the vineyard and the winery. One of the tasks is pumping, to extract all the aromas and color from the Mencía grapes.

We’ve left until the end the plot of Garnacha Tintorera, the variety we use to make our most unique wine: La Prohibición.

It’s truly a symbol. The branch on the rear of the tractor signals the end of the grape harvest.
