ur president, José María Fonseca, presided over the panel of judges for the 15th International Biennial Terras Gauda – Francisco Mantecón Advertising Poster Competition, which met in the Maritime Station to assess 1,249 posters from 46 countries. Our CEO, Enrique Costas, also took part.

ore than 2,000 people have visited the exhibition while it was open to the public: from the meeting of the panel of judges until May 4.

W

e are the only Biennial competition in all the world to organize an exhibition with all the posters submitted, allowing public recognition of the talent and effort of all the designers.

lberto Núñez Feijóo presided over the ceremony in one of his last public events as President of the Regional Government of Galicia. He was joined at the head table by our president, the president of the Vigo Port Authority, designer Javier Mariscal and Fernando Ónega.

"Old vineyards.

As President of the Foundation for Wine Culture, Antón Fonseca presented the 16th Technical Seminar "Old vineyards. Myth or reality?", organized by the institution. Other prestigious wineries are part of the patronage of the institution: La Rioja Alta, Herederos del Marqués Riscal, Bodegas Muga and Pago de Carraovejas, in addition to the Ministry of Agriculture.

The importance and influence of old vineyards in creating quality wines was discussed from a scientific-viticultural perspective, and with contributions from various experts from the world of wine.

The practical experience benefited from contributions by professionals from the wineries belonging to the institution. Among those who took the podium was Enology Director of Terras Gauda Wineries, Emilio Rodríguez Canas.

Emilio Rodríguez Canas and Christian Rey traveled to the United States.

They led wine tastings organized by the importer Trinchero Family Estates and by Liquorland at Mezza Westwood.

Time to introduce our wines to Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits Miami, the most influential sales team in the country, and for a wine tasting at Amara at Paraiso restaurant, our main account in Florida.

Mar Dopazo led several trade missions to the United Kingdom in recent months.

In London, a wine pairing of Abadía San Campio and oysters at the famous Bentley´s Oyster.

Also in the British capital, the country’s sales team met at Iberica Restaurant Marylebone.

Next stop: Glasgow and Edinburgh with the team from the distributor L´Art du vin, which organized visits, dinners and tastings for our main accounts in these Scottish cities.
