AboutAtelier of timeless foundations.
We pride ourselves on producing contemporary, handmade, natural fibre rugs to provide beautiful foundations for the home.
Our rugs designed here in Australia take inspiration from our natural landscapes, from rainforest to coast. Bringing the harmonious energy of the land into spaces of living.
These designs are then produced with centuries of knowledge in the hands of the skilled artisans of India. We support the eradication of child labour by producing in accordance with Care & Fair mandates, who provide free full time education to the children of rug artisans.
This relationship allows us to produce any of our beautiful designs in custom sizes and colours for our clients. Facilitating our many commercial collaborations with both large and boutique hotels, restaurants and places of work.

Grounded’s highly educated team allows for personable and professional rug procurement.
Grounded prides itself on enriching homes and commercial spaces through the use of soft flooring and beautiful timeless design combined with exceptional quality and client service. Grounded Rugs’ boutique looming facilities allow us to have a hands-on approach with our day to day product pipeline, ensuring the tightest of deadlines are met.
We believe that just like selecting the perfect diamond, similar rules apply to selecting the perfect rug; composition (we only use botanic or wool fibres at Grounded), colour (hand dying jute and woollens ensures the richest and most natural hues are created exclusively for us) and craftsmanship (respecting the ancient craft of hand weaving and ensuring the highest level of quality at all stages from production to distribution).
We value long term relationship building with our trade partners and are always available to assist with rug placement and sizing, commercial installations, custom rug designs and general styling solutions.
Our work with Interior Designers, Architects and stunning Hotel projects globally speaks for itself.
