The beauty of a flat weave is in its tightly woven composition, which means for day to day external stresses of heavy foot traffic, chair legs and vacuuming, this flat lying piece can withstand quite a bit.

This style is woven in a flat weave, as opposed to a braid, so perfect for withstanding chair legs moving in and out across this piece. This flat weave also comes with double the life span given that it is the same weave on both sides so you can flip the piece if and when required.
We absolutely love how flat this sits against the floor and adds subtle linear texture and colour to any space in the home.
This exact design and composition was produced by Grounded Rugs for the stunning rooms and suites within The Calile Hotel, Brisbane, Australia. Again, a perfect example of stunning style meeting durability.

Extending
Grounded’s luxurious TENCEL™ designs we bring you “Full Moon Greige”.
This gorgeous piece, comprising of 80% TENCEL™ and 20% cotton, has a base of silver, grey and beige across lighter spectrums and again, as with all our TENCEL™ designs, the fibre reflects light to give an appearance of “movement” within the rug. Grounded’s use of the TENCEL™ fibre is predominately applied in block colours as this allows the fibres themselves to do the work, providing a luxurious visual and tactile effect when styling within the home.
When styling your TENCEL™ piece within the home we recommend rotating the piece as each rotation will provide a different depth of colour depending on which way the natural light bounces off the fibres. Each look is quite different, one being quite a dusty or light silver effect and the other providing a very rich and luxe effect with more colour depth, the choice is yours and entirely comes down to your own personal preference within the home.

HINTERLAND GREEN
Rocky Creek Damn in Northern NSW, Australia, and the surrounding dense subtropical visual feast is the inspiration for “Hinterland Green”. We wanted to bring the lush outdoor visual into the home and then to give it depth and mood like mother nature creates underneath her rainforest canopies.
Less is more when using the TENCEL™ fibre which plays with light to create movement and mood within the home, hence why we only use block colours when using this fibre. The piece will constantly have “movement” visually within it given the sustainable fibre composition of 80% TENCEL™ and 20% cotton which adds to the very contemporary look of the piece. The beauty of this design when exposed to light is that the piece can achieve two very different looks, one being quite a dusty green or if the piece is rotated, a more luxe moody green. A stunning, silk-like to walk on, addition to any home.

The sumptuous golden hues of the underside of the Magnolia leaf provides the inspiration for Grounded’s limited edition, “Magnolia Gold”. This stunning piece, comprising of 80% TENCEL™ and 20% cotton, reflects the light and creates colour movement that spans the spectrum of warm golds, from soft bronze and light caramel to shades of deep rust, dependent on which way the light is reflected upon the fibres. The overall effect is reminiscent of the soft earthy golden tones of the Magnolia leaf and is one of effortless, contemporary style.
When styling your TENCEL™ piece within the home we recommend rotating the piece as each rotation will provide a different depth of colour depending on which way the natural light bounces off the fibres. As part of Grounded’s “Freycinet” trinity, please let us introduce you to the stunning “Freycinet Sunset”. This unique design is stunning in its light-gold raw umber colour way.
The first or last light reflected by the sun onto the coastline cliff faces around Freycinet National Park, especially when viewed from on the ocean looking back onto the land, is one of the greatest natural beauties in the world, and one which we draw much inspiration from, as captured here on our last trip on the waters of the Tasman Sea and her surrounding bays.
“Freycinet Sunset” has a beautiful composition of 50% certifiable TENCEL™, 30% wool and 20% cotton. TENCEL™, when combined with wool, provides an elegant low sheen visual, whist retaining softness underfoot.
This Freycinet trinity collection is based on a very subtle high low ripple that runs horizontally throughout the rug. Given the colour of this gorgeous Freycinet Sunset, the high pile is subtly separated by the cream cotton base providing a timeless contemporary piece for within your home.

The sands at many of the Park’s beaches are the purest of white and when set against the rugged backdrop of the Hazards Mountain Range and the azure bay waters, the combination is truly mother nature at her most spectacular.

Whether this be on land, at sea, or in the sky, we always are inspired by mother nature’s even changing colour palettes and variety of shapes. We thought it time to honour the elements that have been soothing us over the past two years and that first and foremost has been water.
The immersion of ones body in water always provides a cathartic and grounded experience so it was with this in mind that the serene, yet full of life, Pittwater design came to fruition.
This design originates from one of our Founder’s, Melinda Bourdain, photographs taken on a Spring mid morning when a light sea breeze was just building across Pittwater and represents the peacefulness it invoked.
Paying homage to the iconic areas of Barrenjoey Headland, Bilgola Plateau and Palm Beach, these stunning hand cut high low wool designs will be sure to add contemporary serenity and style to any beautiful home.

Grounded Rugs is proud to be working towards reducing global plastic waste by producing our first Non Dyed PET rug collection. 100% recycled plastic PET Yarn sourced from global plastic waste that is broken down into flakes, then to fibre and finally spun to yarn that looks and feels like wool.
The PET Yarn is then hand braided to our specific Burma Sumac braid to create a non dyed contemporary non staining and UV resistant outdoor/indoor rug for any environment. These non dyed rugs are made for full outdoor conditions and also given their softness and contemporary braid look absolutely beautiful as indoor rugs that are susceptible to spills and stains.

Grounded Rugs is proud to be working towards reducing global plastic waste by producing our first Non Dyed PET rug collection. 100% recycled plastic PET Yarn sourced from global plastic waste that is broken down into flakes, then to fibre and finally spun to yarn that looks and feels like wool.
The PET Yarn is then hand braided to our specific Burma Sumac braid to create a non dyed contemporary non staining and UV resistant outdoor/ indoor rug for any environment.The beauty of this PET fibre, whilst not only contributing to the recycling of global plastic waste, is that should any spills occur simply hose off and let dry in sun. These non dyed rugs are made for full outdoor conditions and also given their softness and contemporary braid look absolutely beautiful as indoor rugs that are susceptible to spills and stains!
