IDEA:
The main criteria of the project is to design new social housing for low income users in Din Daeng. As GFA limitation is required not to exceed 20,000 sqm, the design shall focuses on the unit design. The former building provides 47 sqm. area per unit while the new one’s requirement providing only 33 sqm.
CONCEPT:
The concept of the design is to connect the units to solve the problem of the number of users in the room and to solve the size of the unit. As most of the users have 3 to 6 members, there won’t be any problem about connecting the unit. Moreover, Grasshopper scripting is used to help generating the parametric design based on the view of the site context.
Grasshopper Script
The main idea of the scripting is the sequence of visibility. Using scripting to defy the position for the duplex unit to gain the most visibility in each floor as duplex unit has more openings than other units. Then, the second priority to gain more view shall be the triple unit. Then, use the script to defy the position of couple and single unit.




Concept Development
The concept foccuses on connecting the units as users mentioned that the former unit they lived has more area, 47 sqm. The requirement of unit’s size of the new project is maximum at 33 sqm, so the idea of create shared terrace helps increase the size of the unit for the big family type, which has 3 - 6 family members.
Mass Development
The mass building starts from spliting blocking blocking programs based on GFA. Then, uses Grasshopper to help defy the position of duplex and other units. The last step is adding the details of the building, such as rooftop, the overall form, and shared amenity area.

From the 7th up to 16th plan, the shape of the floor plan will be full.

17th - 20th
Floor Plan
The number of the unit on these floor will be decreased.
Accessibility
The building can be accessed from the East side to convenient both users from Din-Daeng and Mit Mitri road.
Juristic Office
Juristic office is located at the front space, so it allows grab or postal service to drop the stuffs at the main lobby.
21th - 22th Floor Plan
On the 21th floor, there is an extensive green roof.
Shared Amenity
Shared amenity is located on the 7th Floor near elevators.
Public Garden
The public garden is located on the South side of the building.
Car Park Area
Car park is put at the backside of the building next to the backside entrance.
Convenience Store
It is located at the outdoor space near the main entrance.
Main elevator
The main public stair and the elevators are located at the center of the building
Roof Water Tank Room
Roof water tank, collecting water from public tank, is put on the rooftop.
Roof PV Panel
PV panels are installed on the rooftop for long-term benefit.
