Our Story
Like so many brands before us, our story began in a garage. Engineer and GRIP6 founder BJ Minson had developed a belt design that held incredibly well, was easily adjustable and didn’t have all the holes that so many other belt designs rely on. He sent samples to friends and family and received rave reviews, but he needed a bigger test, and Kickstarter seemed like the perfect opportunity to see if his belt design would gain widespread traction. It did.
Within just a few short days, BJ had sold over 9,000 belts, and whether he realized it then or not, he had just entered the manufacturing business.

As he set out to make the products he had sold, he quickly became aware that America was not what it once was. Finding suppliers was hard, and finding competent manufacturers was even harder. After being repeatedly told, “You won’t survive unless you go
to China,” BJ resolved to do the opposite, and make his belts right here in Utah. With a small loan from his best friend and a few die-hard employees, BJ turned his 300 square foot garage into a belt factory that filled all 9,000 orders.
At 60,000 square feet, our factory today is a little bigger. Over the last eight years, we have branched out into wallets, wool socks, and beanies. Just like our belts, they are all made right here under one roof.
With our core misson unchanged, all our products are still made with quality raw materials sourced from the U.S.A. whenever possible, which is over 95% of the time.
The GRIP6 mission is simple: to make quality products that last and to encourage and support the modernization and accessibility of American manufacturing at every turn.
100% Made in America

Built to Wear, Not to Wear Out
Let’s be honest. Most clothing and accessories we buy today are designed to last through a single fashion cycle. If we’re lucky, that’s a year, maybe two. As a society we’ve become conditioned to expect very little from our clothing. When it fails, we throw it out and we buy another one. GRIP6 was founded on one goal; make quality products, and make them ourselves. We design our products to look great, function better, and most importantly, last for decades. We make everything here in the U.S. and we source over 95% of raw materials in the U.S. Our hands-on manufacturing approach ensures control over the process and supply chain, allowing us to constantly evaluate our procedures and products to find ways we can improve and then quickly act.
The end result is a group of products that we can proudly stand behind. When you purchase something from GRIP6, you are buying into the idea that we don’t have to live in a disposable world, and that the best way to affect change is with the purchasing choices we each make every day. For your next company purchase, choose a brand dedicated to quality American craftsmanship, and choose GRIP6.

STEP 1. Choose your buckle.

Our Classic Series is what put us on the map. The brushed face, scratch-resistant buckles are made from durable 6061/T6 aluminum alloy and anodized in a variety of colors for a hardened finish. Paired with a high-tensile nylon webbing strap, these belts are just as comfortable in the office as they are on the trail. Company logos can be laser etched for a small fee.*

STEP 2. Choose your strap.
Midweight
Our Midweight strap features a tighter weave of nylon. This creates a more rigid and durable strap in a standard belt size.

Our Lightweight strap is meant to keep your belt comfortable and easy to wear all day long. The looser weave allows the belt to flex when you do.
Our Element strap is a unique weave designed specifically for GRIP6 belts. This strap has a slight shine that is best used for formal occasions and office wear.

STEP 3. Choose your buckle customization options.

Why choose a GRIP6 wallet?

The GRIP6 Wallet is the union between a minimalist aesthetic and a full-function experience, the same experience that has made our belt as successful as it is today.
The vast majority of wallets used today are oversized. Just like buying a big house, once you see an empty room, it’s human nature to fill that void. Before long, you’re busting at the seams with stuff you didn’t need in the first place. The GRIP6 wallet system helps people trim unwanted fat. It consists of two main components: the main wallet cartridge and our Wingman Moneyband for added storage.
With over X ammount of 5 star reviews, it gets better! Customize your wallet order down to the logo laser-etched on it. Want to share your company pride or impress your employees with a one of a kind gift this holiday? We’ve got you covered... Get the process started today by emailing us at wholesale@grip6.com
The patented main cartridge holds six cards and has the easiest card access on the market. Simply squeeze the lever and all six cards are arrayed for easy access. The main cartridge has two faces and can be branded using a laser etch that, unlike paint, will not wear off.
The Wingman Moneyband allows the wallet to expand its capacity to more than double the cards when necessary. It can also be branded with a custom patch featuring your company’s logo.

Why choose GRIP6 wool socks?
All of our wools socks are made in Utah from fine-micron Merino wool sourced directly from the Rocky Mountain region. Our proprietary blend is itch-free and unbelievably comfortable without sacrificing the durability that wool is known for. Wool socks wick sweat better than any synthetic material, along with being naturally anti-microbial.

In addition, wool helps to regulate your body temperature even when wet. That means it cools you down in the summer, and keeps you warmer in the winter.
Our custom sock program allows companies to place a knit-in logo on the calf or welt. Unlike embroidered logos that may irritate the skin and sublimated logos that fade over time, knitted logos are baked in to the quality of every sock we make. For your next corporate gift, nothing beats a quality pair of GRIP6 wool socks (except perhaps a sweet GRIP6 belt or wallet).

With five star reviews across all of our sock models, you can be confident that we know how to make a great sock. It all starts by using the highest quality wool in the country. Company logos are knit into the sock in one of three locations of your choosing. Lead times are longer than our other products and some logos may not be suitable for a knitted product. Free artwork consultation is included before any set-up fees.

How to wear and cut your GRIP6 belt.

First, thread strap through buckle as picture above. Then measure 8 inches from where the strap exits the buckle when snug around waist. Using sharp scissors, cut the strap.
Buckle slides freely when tilted and pulled away from your body.
Lightly melt the strap end with a lighter using a slow side to side motion until you see the material begin to melt, forming a glossy sheen.

THE HOT NYLON!
Buckle locks tightly on webbing when laid flat.
Slide tail inside buckle between the belt and your body.
