Success

Personally I feel my work is better when I can choose my own briefs/projects I feel I engage with the project much better when I am more interested in it. I feel I generate better work when I spend a longer time on the development stages. For me it is when my work goes to screen that struggles although I feel this year I have developed my computer skills to a much higher level. Im no longer scared of putting my work on screen.

I am interested in the hand made and craft side of design, I love making items and playing with different things, when I leave university I am going into jewellery design and I feel this semester I have been able to introduce this into my work a lot more than in previous semesters. I havnt done a lot of craft work this semester as I wanted to stick with jewellery as I felt this would help me more after university.

I feel my strengths this semester have been my own jewellery identity project, my New York source book and my paper jewellery project, I believe this is because I wish to explore jewellery when I leave university so it is something I have a strong interest in and this has motivated me throughout these projects. Im not as strong with my one day projects as there is no time for development with these projects but I do enjoy doing them as the fast paced day gets you back it to the swing of things and engages your brain when youve had a break from work.

- Re brand for cumbrian based training organisation.

- Create a new brand identity for the already established company.

- People looking for training or apprenticeships they wanted a young section and a seperate training more adult section to their company.

- Create a set of 4 posters and 4 tickets for the University of Cumbria’s summer exhibition - Attract people to the exhibition.

- the general public, designers, creatives.

- Design a handout for the people attending the C-Art exhibition to take away with them.

- Create something to be taken away from the talk/exhibition, something for the person to remember the exhibition by.

- the people visiting the C-Art exhibition for the 7 artists in 7 minutes talk.

- To use the images to inspire people to create jewellery and take a different look at New York.
