These tradesman kept there secrets in glass blowing for centuries, for the Venetians it was killable offences to trade secrets from the furnace where the glass is made by melting 4 key ingredients from a very old recipe. A furnace is used to Create the molten glass .
From the furnace to the oven (Glory hole), with a blow pipe of hot molten glass glob which goes back and forth from the oven (glory hole), to the marver. The Marver is a steel table that is used to roll the molten glass into a cylinder shape, as this shaping takes place the artist repeatedly takes the molten glass back and forth to the oven to keep the heat in the glass.
This process of heating and reheating will occur many times and at different stages through the process

A punty is made to help the transfer of glass , when the punty is attached to the glass this then becomes the end of the glass object To break off the other blow pipe the artist “Raps� the end of the punty and it is then broken off.
Repeat Process 2 Using tools, an opening is made and a lip to the glass object is shaped.The vessel starts to come to life
Repeat of part of step 5 “Making of a punty” Once the piece is finished the artist “Raps” the end where the punty was originally and the vase separates from the steel pipe. It is then placed into the Annealing oven to cool down and remove stresses from the glass.
