What is Cadence? It is the number of revolutions created when pedaling. Having low cadence requires the cyclist to push harder. When the amount of cadence is higher the legs act as a more efficiant blood pumping system. Having a high cadence refers to the amount of revolu-

tions created rather than how hard you are pushing on the pedals. When riding up hill, cadence can be quite important, by keeping a high cadence you are not going to be riding as fast but you should be able to ride for longer.
