Grier’s signature programs provide an immersive education, focused learning and practice, pre-professional training, extraordinary teachers, and life-changing experiences. They offer unparalleled opportunities for students in these formative years. Whether you are a beginner or already know this is your calling, there’s a place for you in a signature program that will open doors to exciting possibilities.

Explore New Horizons

Grier’s equestrian program has a well-deserved reputation as the top secondary school program in the country, exhibiting a strong record of undefeated National Championships. The program introduces beginners to the basics of horsemanship, gives experienced riders advanced training, and focuses on three styles of riding: Hunter Jumper, Western, and Dressage. Grier girls ride with our seven full-time professional riding instructors from two to six days a week. To allow girls of all skill levels to participate, Grier owns 60 horses, some of which are Grand Prix Jumpers and Quarter Horse Congress Champions.

Ride with Purpose

Students enrolled in the varsity riding program train from two to four days a week in the afternoon. Those on the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams may compete at all levels of horse shows, from casual schooling shows to rated competitions, that include Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) and USEF Premier and Regional Rated competitions, including USHJA, USDF, NRHA, and AQHA shows. Grier girls regularly place nationally and prepare to enroll in collegiate NCEA programs. Grier has a proud record of seeing graduates compete in top collegiate programs and then go on to work as professionals in the industry.
