This is Ashim Joshi, the current program coordinator of the Gridville team at Kathmandu University in Nepal.

They are working on a project to develop and install a micro-hydropower grid system in the remote areas of Nepal which are not connected to the national grid. The current project site was hit by the Melamchi disaster. The users and the stakeholders of the electricity system shall be involved in the development to make an energy independent region easy to operate, use and maintain. The electricity from the grid will provide power to a school and a local community.
