SCHOOL OF FINE ARTS We are the cornerstone of creativity on campus, contributing to the vibrancy of Grenfell and the city. We have the distinction of offering the only bachelor’s degrees in visual arts and theatre in the province. Our graduates have gone on to find thriving careers in the worlds of visual and performing arts, theatre, film and television. GRENFELL WARRIORS AND RECREATION Grenfell Campus believes athletics & recreation are an integral part of a student’s university experience. Being a part of one of the competitive teams is a very rewarding experience as it allows the athlete to fully engage in the spirit of university life. Teams practice on a weekly basis, compete in local leagues, and travel throughout the province & Atlantic Canada for tournaments. There are typically three competitive teams for each academic year. Open tryouts are held in September for women’s volleyball, men’s basketball and women’s basketball. Grenfell Campus recreational programs provide opportunities for physical activities to students, faculty and staff. Supporting and empowering a balanced lifestyle is crucial to the health and success of all individuals. Recreational programs include intramurals, open gym time, pickleball, badminton, and soccer. In addition monthly recreational events are held for students. Please check our webpage regularly. Don’t miss out on these FUN activities! A new aquatic and fitness facility, including a pool, waterslide, lazy river, gymnasium and fitness centre, is located on campus. Students can access this facility through the mandatory recreational fee.

GETTING HERE We’re located in western Newfoundland, on Canada’s east coast. We’re 40 minutes from Deer Lake Regional Airport (YDF). You could also drive to North Sydney, NS, where you can catch a Marine Atlantic ferry to Port aux Basques, NL. After a two-and-a-half hour (211 km) drive, you’ll arrive in Corner Brook.
