Please ensure their dogs are kept on a lead at all times when in the Village Hall playing field and children's play area. We have had complaints that dogs have been off their leads and fouling in these areas without the owners clearing up.
Ladies, we need you!
Our Women's Institute is hoping to celebrate our 95th Anniversary in 2024 but we'd love to have a few more members now to help us reach this milestone. Could this be you?
We usually meet at 2 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month in Meadway Hall. You don't have to live in the village to attend. We have Speakers, Competitions, Outings, Fun and Social events. We are a cheerful group and would welcome new members.
This coming month, on 8th March we are holding our meeting in The Castlebrook Inn at 12:30 p.m. and enjoying a Carvery lunch. If you wish to join us, please ring our Secretary Janet Davies on 01458 272877 to reserve your place with us. (Normal Carvery charges apply).
Further meetings include: -
12th April, an open meeting (bring your neighbours and friends) with Bring and Buy. Our Speaker Michelle Blackmore will talk about her owls and may even bring a live one!
10th May, Our speaker will be Barbara Spencer Jones talking about "Hanging Up My Pen".
14th June, Our meeting will be a practical craft afternoon.
12th July, Brian Wright will tell us about the history of Nursery Rhymes.
13th Sept, Richard Raynsford will talk to us about "The Glastonbury Festival : Views of a villager."
We also have some outings organised, so we do plenty to provide something of interest for all.
