Optimation Technology is Growing Rapidly, Several Current Job Opportunities
Optimation Technology has been hiring to keep up with the large demand of new projects coming down the pipe. We have hired 12 new employees within the last year.
Eugene Gallagher (Senior Controls Engineer), Tim Reynolds (Mechanical Designer), Nathan Winter (Mechanical Engineer), Ben Friedel (Controls Engineer), Chad Timothy (Truck Driver), Noah Robbins (Shipping and Receiving), Cierra Collins (Electrical Apprentice), Matt Wise (Electrical Apprentice), Jake Ingalls (Pipefitter Apprentice), Gene Papaleo (Journeyman Electrician), Stephanie Wager (Logistics and Materials Management), and Henry Bleier (Fab Shop Manager) joined our Optimation team adding significant value to our customers. With these skill sets being added to our team we can accept even more projects, as well as giving more opportunities to the Rochester area. We are looking for more employees in the following areas: • Chemical Engineers • Controls Engineers • Process Designers • Instrumentation/Electrical Designers • Machine Design Engineer • Sheet Metal Journeyman

Passero Associates (Passero), a full-service Engineering and Architecture firm headquartered in Rochester, NY, has opened its newest office in the Hudson Valley at 19 Front Street in Newburgh, NY, on the waterfront. Passero continues the firm’s active growth in the Northeast United States from this office location and from their offices in Albany, NY and Burlington, VT. Passero currently provides planning, engineering, and architectural design services to numerous municipal, airport, and private developer clients in New York and New England.

Chris has a wide range of experience providing residential, commercial, K-12, health care and municipal clients with civil engineering services. His use of technology combined with his practicality and judgment have guided multidisciplinary teams to successful execution of many projects. Chris has an MS in civil engineering and BS in civil engineering technology. He is the President-elect of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Mid-Hudson Branch and serves on the Hudson Valley Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors. q

SWBR NewsSWBR’s Grace Ferris Earns LEED Green Associate

SWBR project designer Grace Ferris has earned her LEED Green Associate accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council. This LEED credential denotes proficiency in today’s sustainable design, construction, and operations standards. Professionals who have earned a LEED credential showcase knowledge, experience, and credibility in the green building marketplace.

As part of the firm’s Housing studio, Ferris is responsible for design and technical documents, coordination of consultant groups, and assisting project architects and managers on a variety of tasks from project conception to construction completion. She was drawn to architecture after touring Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West Complex in the fourth grade. She received her bachelor of science in Architectural Technology from Alfred State College. q
