Free Application for Federal Student Aid– According to data released in August 2013 by the National Center for Education Statistics, with food, housing, books, supplies and transportation, the total cost to attend an in-state public college averaged $17,860 in 2012. If your child is heading off to college for the first time in fall 2014, now is the time to start thinking about how you are going to pay for it.
