Library Link FROM THE DIRECTOR In case you haven’t heard, we are open! Although the Library doesn’t look quite the same as it did when we closed our doors on March 13, it’s still wonderful to be open and to see so many of our patrons. We missed all of you! We reopened on June 15 with reduced hours and limited services, so I would encourage you to contact us by phone at 708-598-8446 or visit us online at greenhillslibrary.org for more details. Staff have been diligently working on serving our community in innovative ways. We have created new types of programming including our first virtual Summer Reading Program, make-and-take craft kits, and other virtual programs. We have also introduced a new service called Doorside Delivery, bringing Library materials straight to your doorstep. During these difficult times, circumstances are changing daily, and we are continually finding ways to improve our service to you. In addition to the newly available Doorside Delivery service, we have started accepting online Library card registration and eliminated expiration dates on Library cards. These are just a few things that we have done to make your Library experience more convenient. We will continue to monitor the Restore Illinois Plans, and recommendations from the Illinois Department of Public Health to allow us to safely reintroduce more services.
