he staff of The Greeneville Sun is pleased to bring you the first of four Around The Town magazines we will publish in 2021.

“Around The Town” combines three months of events and goings-on in and around our communities. The Sun staff visited friends and neighbors throughout Greene County, asking folks if we could take a picture of them doing normal everyday things they do, that make our communities such great places to live. We were overwhelmed by so many warm and welcoming people who were excited about the opportunity of sharing what they do in their everyday lives, creating smiling faces and happy places.

The Isaacs were invited to join the Grand Ole Opry on August 11, 2021!! You have not seen a gospel music show until you have seen The Isaacs! The Isaacs, winner of 7 Dove Awards, are a family group who began singing 35 years ago. The vocalists are mother Lily Isaacs and siblings Ben Isaacs, Sonya Isaacs Yeary, Rebecca Isaacs Bowman and Levi Bowman, Becky’s son. Playing their own acoustic instruments and joined by other band members, The Isaacs have a unique style that blends tight family harmony with contemporary acoustic instrumentation set to a background of testimonies and inspiration. Frequent performers at the Grand Ole Opry, they have performed from Carnegie Hall to the International Bluegrass Music Association.
