Dear Friends,

Thank you for being a part of Chairity 2024. Whether you’re one of our generous sponsors, talented designers, or amazing community supporters or shoppers, please know you are instrumental to our mission of furnishing homes and changing lives.

Since 2010, we have been dedicated to providing furnishings and household essentials to those facing the challenges of homelessness, crisis, or disaster. We believe that stable, well-furnished homes are foundational to transforming lives, promoting positive health outcomes and reducing homelessness. Our clients often share how receiving home furnishings helped them start fresh and create a new beginning.

Chairity plays a crucial role in generating the funds we need to reach our 2024 goal of providing 1,440 children with a bed or crib of their own, and equipping 1,200 households with the essential items needed to make a house a home. Over the next three days, you can “Shop for Good” by purchasing furnishings and décor from our 15 beautifully curated rooms, bidding on one of our 14 amazing re-imagined chairs, or participating in our exciting live auction.

We are deeply grateful for your support. I am personally humbled by the outpouring of generosity from our loving community this year. We will always have a chair for you at The Green Chair table, and we invite you to continue this journey with us.

In appreciation,

How We Serve:

We provide individuals and families with the household furnishings and essential home items they need to create a comfortable and nurturing environment through two cornerstone programs:

Essentials for Home

- all the furnishings needed to make a house a home

Individuals and families receive carefully coordinated pieces of furniture, soft goods, artwork, and bath and kitchen wares, tailored to their preferred style and color scheme. They “shop” for these household packages, either on-site at our facility or virtually, empowering them with the normalcy and dignity of a true shopping experience.

Sweeter Dreams – a bed for every child in need

Research shows that a good night’s sleep positively influences a child’s learning, growth, and overall well-being. With 1 in 30 Wake County Public School students lacking a bed of their own, we help ensure every child in need has access to a new bed and pillow, sheets, and a comforter.
