Great Smoky Mountains Association is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting Great Smoky Mountains National Park with its educational, historical and scientific programs.

Proceeds from our retail sales, including visitor centers, online and this catalog, together with our Membership Program, will allow us to contribute more than $1 million to support this park this year. These funds enable the park to accomplish many important activities, such as:

• supporting park service resource management projects like the elk reintroduction and Gatlinburg bear warden • funding long-term scientific research projects such as water quality monitoring • sponsoring living history demonstrations and environmental education programs • saving hemlock trees from non-native insects • publishing the park newspaper, Smokies Guide, and award-winning books and guides to the Smokies
