quarter-century of success is an impressive milestone for any company. Founded in 1989 with just a three-office
rental space and five employees, ABI has since grown to 105 employees and now has a seventy-six thousand square foot building with a spectacular showroom. The consistentlyprofitable office interiors firm is a “Best in Class” dealer for their exclusive Haworth product line, one of only two in Canada and twenty worldwide. The partners readily acknowledge that ABI’s success is due in large part to its dedicated employees. “Some of our staff have been with us since almost the beginning,” notes Bill

housands of customers over the past twenty five years have come to appreciate the many advantages of doing business
with ABI. Working with a firm whose staff have extensive expertise in every aspect of the office interiors industry not only means getting the best advice, but also getting the best service, and that’s the ABI difference.
ARCHITECTURAL INTERIORS: FROM FIXED TO FLEXIBLE, RETHINK YOUR WALLS ABIs Architectural Interiors (A.I.) team members leverage their backgrounds in architectural technology to design, specify, draw and implement moveable wall systems at ABI. As A.I. Specialist Olivar Asselin explains, “I meet with designers and architects then take measurements and create preliminary and final drawings. As a team we prepare schedules, supervise the installation and provide afterinstall services.” ABI’s Architectural Interiors team is unique. What are Moveable Walls? The new standard in office interiors, moveable walls are an architectural system that is as flexible as any office furniture. Movable walls deliver all the benefits of permanent walls, including acoustical privacy, and they are easily repositioned allowing your space to evolve with your business. Moveable walls offer a clean, timeless look and are specifically designed to offer endless adaptation possibilities. More functional and versatile than traditional walls, moveable walls are ideal for today’s fluid offices.

REMAN UFACTURING vital to greening the office interiors industry
T
he environmental footprint of the office interiors industry is changing, and this is good news. As consumer awareness
has grown regarding the potential hazards of various chemicals used to create floor coverings, paints, laminates and more, demand has grown for products that contain fewer volatile organic compounds (VOCs). While manufacturers like Haworth are doing their part by shifting to more eco-friendly products, ABI has taken going green to a whole new level, thanks to their Remanufacturing (Reman) department, one of the largest of its kind in North America. Established in 1997, ABI’s Reman department successfully repurposes a huge volume of office interiors products. The warehouse and adjacent workshops provide up to three thousand remanufactured workstations each year, diverting back into the market a vast amount of product that would otherwise end up in landfills.
