WHAT WE DO As the Spokane area’s business development organization, GSI creates the place where organizations come together to advocate for the region, drive strategic economic growth, and champion a talented workforce.

This work requires collaboration with numerous partners. We work with community leaders, businesses, the education community, legislators and elected officials, economic development organizations, non-profits, and others to implement economic development strategies and move forward initiatives that transform our economy.

We have a talented team of staff, a Board of Trustees, and more than 700 member partners and committees that come together to work on projects and initiatives.

a vibrant regional economy. GSI, the only business development organization and not-for-profit, is a point of continuity for our region across all business sectors. Get involved as a partner to help grow a healthy region where businesses succeed, and our community thrives.

Community Impact Partners invest in GSI’s foundation, a 501C3 used for funding specific

initiatives that provide immediate and long-term support to our overall regional economy. The Foundation is the catalyst and conduit through which gifts and endowments to GSI are placed and invested in accordance with donor’s wishes.

Member Partners support the ongoing, community-centric attention GSI provides to address

critical leadership collaboration and year-round state and federal lobbying to advance policies in support of your business. Shoot the breeze with 144 golfers The golf course is a great place to make connections and develop business relationships! This event sells out each year so don’t hesitate to get involved.

STATE OF THE…

Each event draws 350-500 attendees Foundational to maintaining a current pulse on local elected officials and how current policies impact the local business climate. The State of the City is a direct keynote from the Mayor’s office, while the State of the County address comes straight from the appointed County Commissioner.

ECONOMIC FORECAST

400-500 business professionals This annual event features highly regarded economists who provide their perspectives on the regional, national and global economies. Be a part of this opportunity to associate your business with valuable insight and resources.

EDUCATION & TALENT

Events to promote workforce development Business AfterSchool are workshops that connect 6-12 grade students to future career opportunities at local businesses. Students learn about future careers and businesses meet their future workforce. Teaching the Teachers are workshops that connect educators with local businesses to learn the skills needed and career opportunities available for their students.
