Greetings fellow Chamber Investors,

What is your Chamber Connection?

The power of Chamber connections directly affects not only local businesses, but private individuals within our communities! To share a personal experience, last month during a Chamber monthly luncheon, a new member was introduced and spoke about her business. I stopped by her office for a visit and was promptly worked in, had a full discussion with a practitioner, examined, and even given a discount! It was an absolutely amazing experience without a wait and without a time limit on the consultation. Of course the only negative was being diagnosed with shingles and sent home with 3 prescriptions.

Without the OEL Heating and Cooling, LLC, Chamber affiliations, I would not have known of this business. This is the power of Chamber connections on a personal level. You have at your fingertips a host of businesses to meet your every need, and if you are involved in the Chamber and its many opportunities, you will grow to know these business owners personally, just as they will grow to know you and your business.

29th Annual GRCC Golf Tournament

On April 1, 2023, it was no joke as the Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce hosted their 29th Annual Golf Tournament at Summerfield Crossings Golf Club in Riverview. This year’s April Fool’s Day themed event featured fun and shenanigans, amazing vendors, exciting raffle prizes, a rousing live auction, a silent auction hosted by Socially Funded, and concluded with dinner provided by Summerfield Crossings Golf Club.

The sunny day was perfect for players and non-players alike to visit the vendors set up near the Putting Contest. Among the vendor spots were American Water & Windows Cali Café Charity Clothing Pickup

Before the shotgun start there were many opportunities for the guests to purchase raffle tickets and game enhancements. The raffle prizes contained dozens of amazing baskets and other items donated by the generous members and friends of the Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce. A continuously big hit is the Wagon of Cheer that was filled with over 25 bottles of liquor. GRCC Ambassadors and Board Members contributed top shelf liquors to create this bar stocking paradise that raised over $2,500.00 for the Chamber.

29th Annual GRCC Golf Tournament

Annually noted as the most anticipated moment of the day was the Bryan Hindman Electric Ball Drop. Bryan and Heather Hindman graciously donated their time and money to make this happen. This year Eros Dahl was the winner of the ball closest to the pin and claimed the $1,158.00 winnings, then generously donated a portion back to the Chamber.

Immediately following the Bryan Hindman Electric Ball Drop, representatives of the Marine Corps League performed Taps and presented an official shotgun salute to signal the beginning of the tournament. The 25 teams enthusiastically departed the clubhouse for the start of the games, many who were serious about winning the tournament and others who just wanted to have fun with their friends. All teams had the chance to use mulligans and yards of string to enhance their chances of winning. Ultimately, the Bryan Hindman Electric Team took first place in the Golf Tournament, with the Wackiest Team Photo Contest being won by Brandon Legal Team!

A grateful thanks to our beverage sponsor Riverview Mortgage for keeping us hydrated during the tournament. A HUGE thank you to Jason Blanchard and the Summerfield Crossings Golf Club for their hospitality and for welcoming us again for the 29th Annual Golf Tournament!

Many thanks to all those who made the tournament a success, and in particular our committee led by Christian Beiter of Preservation 1st Financial Group, LLC and CoChair Dawn Myers of Myers Law, PA. Our top sponsors for the day included:

·LED Live Studio

·South State Bank

·Frux Pay

·Preservation 1st Financial Group
