Mission Statement
Our mission is to empower and foster a vibrant and thriving business community by having a commitment to inclusivity, sustainability, excellence, and advocacy for all businesses.
Partnering with Education
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. My Daddy always said the beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you. We gain our knowledge from individuals known as educators or teachers for short. At the Central Hillsborough County Chamber of Commerce, we value each and every teacher, especially those within our community. Teaching to Excellence is just a small token of appreciation we offer each year to honor those who have chosen the often difficult task of educating our youth. ~ Tammy See, Chair of the Board
To help develop and strengthen the partnerships between our local schools, businesses, churches, and civic organizations, Central Hillsborough Chamber of Commerce (CHCC) will be forming an Education Council. This Council is being formed to bring school administrators, business owners/managers, and leaders of churches and civic organizations together to discuss current challenges and work
together to determine solutions. The hope is that the Education Council will be instrumental in providing labor from local schools to local companies, providing local schools with their current needs, and providing assistance to students in need of a caring and encouraging mentor. If you are interested in joining this council to positively impact our community, please contact Jeff Campbell at 813690-5028, or by email at CEO@centralhillsboroughchamber.com. ~ Jeff Campbell, President of the Central Hillsborough County Chamber of Commerce.
EDUCATION COUNCIL
The Central Hillsborough County Chamber of Commerce Education Committee will focus on addressing educational needs, promoting workforce development, and supporting educational initiatives within the local community. The Committee collaborates to enhance educational opportunities, bridge the gap between education and workforce needs, and promote a skilled and competitive workforce. The Committee will foster partnerships and collaboration between businesses, educational institutions, government agencies, and community organizations to address educational needs and promote workforce development.
“History has shown that your profession (educators) singularly has the most profound impact on a productive society. Like Frederick Douglas said, `It's easier to build strong children, than to repair broken men.’ Each and every one of you (educators) is the reason Hillsborough County is the greatest place to live, work and play because of what you pour into our youth.” - Major Anthony Collins, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office
