Record-Breaking Fun and Philanthropy – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rhode Island’s Welcome to Summer Party Raises $70K+ for Youth Mentoring and Camperships!
Narragansett, RI: The rain cleared and the fun began at Bonnet Shores Beach Club on Saturday, June 24th for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rhode Island’s (BBBSRI) Annual Summer Fundraiser, ‘Welcome to Summer.’ The evening featured electrifying entertainment by Brass Attack, exciting raffle packages, delicious food, and lots of dancing. Welcoming more than 600 attendees, the even t raised over $70,000 – its most successful year yet!
One hundred percent of the event proceeds remain local, directly supporting hundreds of one-to-one youth mentoring relationships throughout RI. A special thanks to the Ranaldi Family for allowing BBBSRI to honor and highlight the life of Catherine Ranaldi, their cherished family member and close friend of the event committee, by allocating a portion of the funds raised to support BBBSRI’s Campership Fund, providing 17 Mentees with camperships. An opportunity they may not have otherwise had to make new friendships, explore diverse activities, and create memories that will last a lifetime!
The event wouldn’t have been a success without the continued support of our sponsors, who play a vital role in championing our mission. We extend a big thanks to our Diamond Sponsor, The Moulder Family Foundation, and all other sponsors for their generous contributions and commitment to empowering the youth of Rhode Island. Also, a special thank you to Bonnet Shores Beach Club for generously hosting the event , to Wes Lessard at TaseRite, and to our Board President, Tom Furey, for his dedication to bringing the event to life year after year.
