Chances are you have driven past the sleek royal blue and neon green AthleticsFit sign on Second Avenue. You can’t miss it – but do you know who they are and how they came to be? It is a life saver for those who are up to their eyeballs with tasks and want to avoid the fast food route. It is that element needed for those looking to meet fitness goals and healthy eating. In fact, it should be part of every fitness coach’s plan.

Mikhail arrived in the United States in 2008 with a dream and determination to create a better life. Now, at 38 years old, he reflects on the path that led him to open AthleticsFit. Mikhail’s journey began with the pursuit of the American dream—a quest that led him from his home in Russia, to Aventura and later the Village of Miami Shores. He acquired a law degree in Russia, and also holds a certification in Hospitality Management. Originally arriving in the U.S. as a student with plans to further his education in Boston, Mikhail faced the harsh reality of financial constraints. Undeterred, he shifted gears and moved to Miami, where he found work in the restaurant and hotel industry. Now, with over 10 years in the restaurant industry, the stage was set for his entrepreneurial journey. Mikhail shares, “My family is my greatest source of strength and inspiration— my supportive wife, our spirited 5-year-old daughter, and the encouragement I receive from my sister and mom all motivate me to push beyond my limits every day.

In 2015, after years of honing his skills in management and customer service, Mikhail launched AthleticsFit, a meal prep service designed to make healthy living more accessible and convenient. Mikhail mentions, “I developed a passion for meal prep services because I recognized the significant benefits they could bring to people’s lives by making healthy living more accessible and convenient. Our meals are designed to be nutritionally balanced, using fresh, high-quality ingredients to ensure that our clients receive the optimal blend of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. After five years of successful operations and receiving positive feedback from our clients, we decided to expand.” Mikhail created a service that would not only provide healthy chef-prepared meals but also provide time for individuals to focus on what truly mattered, their families, their passions, and their success.

Mikhail is also passionate about sports and he emits that energy into his business. He is an avid member of the triathlon community, he regularly competes in marathons and Ironman events, pushing himself both physically and mentally. His love for sports also finds expression in his role as a Florida Panthers fan and a recently certified soccer referee.

Mikhail’s dedication to health and fitness is woven into the fabric of AthleticsFit, where the mission is to make healthy eating easy and accessible for everyone. In addition to running AthleticsFit, Mikhail recently launched The Local Fridge, a franchising opportunity aimed at making healthy meals even more accessible to the community.
