DEAR FRIENDS,
Welcome to Cleveland! Whether you are an athlete, supporter, team personnel - or a friend or family member along for the ride - we hope you find your time in Cleveland to be exciting, enjoyable and memorable!
We understand that it took a lot for many of you to get here and we are grateful that you have decided to join us on the incredible journey of competing in the Pan-American Masters Games.
We are happy to share that we have thousands of registered athletes from 48 U.S. states, 6 continents and more than 70 countries! However, we understand that calling an event “successful” is more than just the number of athletes we secure. To us, success means providing a high-quality, safe and fun experience for every single visitor. Success can be found in our staff putting in the extra effort to coordinate the smallest details to ensure a smooth and enjoyable PAMG experience. Success is our volunteers going above and beyond to perform their duties with enthusiasm, respect and kindness. Success is our corporate community supporting events like PAMG to show that Cleveland is a capable and hospitable host for events of all types and sizes. And in the end, we hope you see that Cleveland welcomes the opportunity to roll out the red carpet for people from around the world to showcase our city on an international stage.
We’d like to thank our Cleveland Local Organizing Committee, Greater Cleveland Sports Commission Board of Trustees and Associate Board, and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission staff, which grew by 10 staff people and 21 interns to accommodate PAMG! We are also grateful to our Sport Chairs, venue contacts and volunteers for their commitment to this incredible event.
We didn’t agree to host the Pan-American Masters Games because it would be easy. We agreed to host it because we knew we have what it takes to make it amazing! We hope you think so too.
Good luck to all!
