Please Consider Dunshaughlin Rockets as Your Venue of Choice We are Ready and Waiting...

Dear Committee Member, Dunshaughlin Rockets are extremely grateful for the opportunity to propose our suberb venue for the location of the final games for the 2020 Senior Top 4’s Cup. We are a very long established club who are fortunate to have as our home venue a magnificent purpose-built hall which has been continually maintained and upgraded over the years with the latest in lighting, scoreboards and facilities.

Dunshaughlin is a multi-award winning village which is known as Ireland’s friendliest village and is renowned for its annual Harvest Festival.

Recent upgrades to Dunshaughlin’s utilities has increased both the amount of superb retail, restaurants and coffee shops as well as housing in the area to the extent that we have almost doubled our population in the past few years. As a result of this, Dunshaughlin Rockets is currently undergowing a rapid growth in both player numbers, trainers, management and supporters/volunteers.

Hosting this competition would give us an unprecidented opportunity to promote basketball even further to this growing population. We would consider it as a true privilege and an honour for us and we, not only have the human resources to provide the manpower and skillsets required to host an event like this in the manner that it deserves, we have also already put in place all the planning, facility availability and resources required to make it one of the best two days of basketball ever.

P.S.: It may be worth noting that we have literally had a ‘head to toe’ makeover in the past 12 months by upgrading or replacing all of our scoreboards, lighting, baskets and floor.

So now we can confidently say we are ready and waiting for your (hopefully) positive decision.

THE VENUE

Purpose-Built Basketball Venue.

Changing rooms with shower facilities plus availability of additional changing facilities if needed.

Used to hosting and managing up to 10 teams at our annual rookies blitz.

Decked area available outside (weather permitting)

Full disabled access to both floors.

Ample Car Parking for Over 100 Cars.

THE COURT

Scoreboard, baskets and floor have all been upgraded in the last year.

Lighting recently upgraded with modern LED lighting.

Excellent team of table officials

We have 7 separate entrances to the court which will facilitate introduction of teams and flow of spectators.

THE WEEKEND

Atmosphere will be electric with warm up music, PA system and professional MC introducing teams.

A Souvenir Booklet will be available for all team members.

First aid station with qualified staff A qualified Physio will be on site.

Our strong and enthusiastic army of club volunteers will assist with ensuring the flow of teams and supporters in and out of the court.

We will have a full programme of interval entertainment.

A Professional Photographer will be on site for team and action photos.

REFRESHMENTS

A large area with complimentary refreshments will be provided throughout the two days.

Our fantastic venue has a very well stocked shop and additional coffee facilities available on site.

5 min walk to Dunshaughlin’s restaurants, cafes and shops, if you want a break during the day.
