Grayshott Primary School: Change of leadership
Grayshott Today wishes to congratulate Sharon Pritchard, who has been Head of our local primary school for five years, on her new appointment and promotion. Sharon will take up the Headship at William Cobbett Primary in Farnham in September. William Cobbett is a large primary school in the north of Farnham with 500 on its role.

Mrs Pritchard has often contributed to this magazine and has encouraged her pupils to submit articles to us on a regular basis. During her time at Grayshott the school has achieved significant and consistent academic improvements and she has led staff and pupils through the recent Covid crisis with diligence and courage. We wish her well in her new role.
After the news of Mrs Pritchard’s promotion the governors embarked on a thorough and complex recruitment process and have recently announced the appointment of Mr Richard Austin as the new Headteacher. There will be a full interview with him in September but we can tell you the he comes from a Co-Headship at Ashford Church of England School and has recently relocated to Haselmere. Mr Austin is a dedicated, gifted teacher who has a passion for both teaching and writing.
The team at Grayshott Today look forward to future collaborations with him and the pupils at the school. If you would be interested in contributing to your local primary school please turn to page 60 for details about volunteering as a governor.
