Living Room Cinema to open locally – Rosie Mulford

The Living Room Cinema Opening Soon

The Living Room Cinema will take up residence in the former Anchor Garage in Liphook. This venture has been several years in the making, and is now almost ready to open its doors to the local community. Founder Claire Beswick and her team are pleased to announce that they are planning a number of soft opening events, with a full launch by Easter 2022.

The stylish yet comfortable cafe-bar will serve a selection of daytime treats, popcorn and confectionery alongside a more substantial evening offering. The Living Room Cinema are partnering with a host of local businesses, including Liphook’s General Wine Company, Haslemere’s Real English Drinks House, Alresford’s Moon Roast Coffee, Fernhurst’s Salthouse Bakery and Wildsmith Skin, based at Heckfield Place, Hook.

With up to four showings a day in their 61-seat auditorium, The Living Room Cinema will have something for everyone. The opening month will feature brand-new blockbusters like Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore and Downton Abbey: A New Era, whose star Hugh Bonneville will be hosting a gala event for the film’s release. Other showings will include new films Operation Mincemeat, The Northman and Sonic 2, plus recent releases. There will be kids, audiodescribed, subtitled, autism-friendly and parent and baby screenings.

In their opening week, The Living Room Cinema will be running a series of opening offers, including discounted tickets, complimentary fizz on arrival, and more.

Four types of membership can now be purchased through the website—though it will not be members-only.

50 exclusive Founder Memberships (£1500) are available for their biggest supporters. These VIP memberships include unlimited cinema for the member and a guest, a complimentary drink each visit, one private screening per year, an invite to the launch party, and much more.

One of the most exciting ventures is the cinema’s sponsor a seat scheme—for £500 you can sponsor a seat with your choice of name, logo or message. This makes the perfect dedication to a loved one or film-love, and is a fantastic advertising opportunity for businesses.
