floo-id YOGA is a locally owned boutique yoga studio off the 101

They offer a wide variety of classes to accommodate all ages and skill levels to help you become a better version of yourself and have proven to aid in a healthier, physically fit and less stressful lifestyle. Due to the current circumstances, floo-id has had to close their studio and can only offer outdoor classes and they have been kind enough to do a couple classes at no cost just for Grayhawk residents! Just bring your mat and a can-do attitude; your body will do the rest. The classes will take place in the narrow beginning section of the greenbelt that starts at the tunnel near the NW corner of the Thompson Peak Parkway and Hayden Road intersection. Walk or ride over, or park in the Offices at Grayhawk parking lot and head down to the greenbelt from there. Girl Scouts Make Masks for Our Community
By Sophia Plache, Monterey Park resident
This August I will be starting sixth grade at Grayhawk Elementary School. I have been a Girl Scout in Troop 981 since Kindergarten.
This summer my troop and I have been making face masks to donate to hospitals and give to neighbors. You can make face masks to donate or for yourselves too! Here are a couple of websites that have patterns you can use: https://sweetredpoppy.com/how-to-sewa-fitted-fabric-mask/ https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/ prevent-getting-sick/diy-cloth-face-coverings.html
Our goal is to make 100 masks. We have decided to donate them to HonorHealth hospitals. If you make some masks too, you can drop them off at their hospital in Grayhawk. There is a drop off bin in the foyer of the main entrance at:

HonorHealth Thompson Peak Medical Center 7400 E. Thompson Peak Parkway.
The hours are from 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
For more ways you can support Honor Health caregivers and patients, go to
https://www.honorhealth.com/coronavirus-covid-19/ support-caregivers
Here are a few tips on how to wear and take care of your mask. The mask is only effective if it covers your mouth, nose and chin. When you put the mask on, you should hold it by the ear loops. It should also fit snugly against the sides of your face so there are no open flaps. However, you don’t want it to be so tight that it’s difficult to breathe through.

Don’t touch your mask again until it’s time to take it off. You should also take off the mask by the ear loops. After you take it off, you should wash it if you can, or put it in a sealable plastic bag. Then wash your hands.
If you know a girl in K-12 who would like to join Girl Scouts and do fun stuff like going to camp, earning different badges, making new friends, and doing community service projects like this, then go to http://bit.ly/PimaGirlScout and put her name on the list. Then you will be contacted about troop placement, volunteer opportunities, and registration.
