As someone who frequently travels, I love the movement and motion of travel fashion. I’m from the big city of Chicago, where I enjoy taking the CTA. You’ll find multiple different personalities all through the people’s outfits and movements. I love just admiring people’s outfits and the way they act and move.

I decided to interview a few students around campus and ask them about their travel outfits and their experience. Many shared common ideals when it came to traveling, no matter if traveling in-state, out-of-state, or even out of the country, from what it seems like people love dressing for the aesthetic. But not to please others but to satisfy themselves. One of my favorite comments about this was “I want to be someone’s airport crush”.
Many of the people I interviewed mentioned that they dress more for comfort and tend not to overlayer for the comfort of movement. I found this fascinating as I tend to overlayer and if anything, overpack. Overpacking, led me to my next question when interviewing peers. My dear beloved friend Olha (’23) says she has learned to travel light, especially when she’s going home overseas to Ukraine. Alex Reyes (‘23) says she as well travels light, but she just hates the bulkiness of overpacking. Yet I did have people mention they like overpacking because they enjoy being prepared for anything coming their way. I feel like I’m both, which I
