I believe that everything triangulates back to safety because of a social contract we sign with families and communities where we operate. My belief is that we have a competitive safety score relative to our industry peers. Incidents will fall under two risk profile categories: financial and human. The HSE team is consistently focused on target zero because the safety stats are aggregated numbers that have a ripple from risk to the employee's family and community.
To uphold our end of the social contract, we have to be proactive in our safety approach. So if you could draw a line in the sand, is the program you are heading up proactive or reactive? In HSE, we have learned that everything matters, and you must continue selling its existence. A front-line leader engaged in safety will reduce policy drift and be suitable for all metrics.
Environmental laws regulate our operations, and we are committed to complying with them. We are also committed to continual improvement, so we employ competent personnel and collaborate with third-party groups on ways we can do better. Everyone at GVTY is encouraged and expected to provide criticism and feedback to reduce our carbon footprint. This is especially true with ESG, where we make decisions based on reducing carbon emissions and providing the best customer experience.
Our employees have high standards and act in our customer's best interests. The BBS joint observations have shown employees becoming true business partners. During the prejob planning with customers, they look at what is relevant, assess the position, and conclude. Then, specific moves are made to fit that plan and create a functional Job Safety Analysis during the project.
We were on the two-yard line of a calendar year with zero recordables. While playing the safety game, you find yourself constantly playing defense. An excellent blitz package for incidents is similar to the 2019 LSU defense. A few of these defensive schemes are: reviewing JSAs (D-line), trending BBSs (Linebackers), and discussing Near Misses/SWA (Secondary). The most critical blitz of all, the zero man, knows where to find our policies (sacking the other team’s QB).
Stay safe out there, everyone!

What makes our branch unique is the relationships and professionalism we have established with our customers. Industry-wide, we have an excellent reputation for maintaining our equipment and meeting some of the country's most strict oil and gas regulations. Also, during the winter months, we more than double our workload. Our team has done a fantastic job getting heaters and generators in operating order when our customers need the additional equipment.
The closeness and willingness to help everyone on our team. Everybody understands that they play a role, even if it isn’t directly in their job description.
Many exciting things come from our Charlotte branch, and one of them is the news of a local eatery where our employees enjoy spending their meal breaks! Taco Jalisco is well known in the community for its friendly service and delicious food. Recommended by our new Charlotte OSM, Robert Rodriguez, Taco Jalisco is just one more place where he can connect with our employees. Next time you are in the Charlotte area, stop by and have breakfast, lunch, or dinner with our Gravity crew there You won’t be disappointed by the food – or the crew!
With over 1.4 million miles driven for Gravity combined, our over-the-road truck drivers are some of the best in the business. With over 40 successfully passed DOT inspections, our drivers excel in what they do With each trip taken over the past 8 years, these professionals have saved Gravity millions of dollars compared to a third-party provider. They truly strive to improve continuously in their jobs. Our drivers have delivered over 2,245 pieces of equipment in that time span
Billy has been driving a truck for 26 years. When he's off, he enjoys spending time with his dog, Gracie, and working at his grooming store. Billy's favorite food is a medium-cooked ribeye steak, as seen in one of the pictures. Billy has been with Gravity for close to 9 years and in that time has driven almost one million miles. Gracie goes with him on the road, and she's the sweetest dog.
Jeff has been driving a truck for 18 years He enjoys spending his off-time riding his four-wheeler and fishing Jeff’s favorite food is a great Italian salad and tacos, and he knows all the best places to find them in his travels Jeff has been a huge asset to Gravity since his hire almost one year ago.
Our over-the-road truck drivers work hard to make sure the branches get the equipment they need and put in the miles to make it happen
“A group of people get together and exist as an institution we call a company so they are able to accomplish something collectively that they could not accomplish separately – they make a contribution to society, a phrase which sounds trite but is fundamental.” - David Packard, late co-founder of HewlettPackard
Thank you to all our employees We look forward to many more years with you all!
