A Word From

I believe that everything triangulates back to safety because of a social contract we sign with families and communities where we operate. My belief is that we have a competitive safety score relative to our industry peers. Incidents will fall under two risk profile categories: financial and human. The HSE team is consistently focused on target zero because the safety stats are aggregated numbers that have a ripple from risk to the employee's family and community.

To uphold our end of the social contract, we have to be proactive in our safety approach. So if you could draw a line in the sand, is the program you are heading up proactive or reactive? In HSE, we have learned that everything matters, and you must continue selling its existence. A front-line leader engaged in safety will reduce policy drift and be suitable for all metrics.

Environmental laws regulate our operations, and we are committed to complying with them. We are also committed to continual improvement, so we employ competent personnel and collaborate with third-party groups on ways we can do better. Everyone at GVTY is encouraged and expected to provide criticism and feedback to reduce our carbon footprint. This is especially true with ESG, where we make decisions based on reducing carbon emissions and providing the best customer experience.

p4

Our employees have high standards and act in our customer's best interests. The BBS joint observations have shown employees becoming true business partners. During the prejob planning with customers, they look at what is relevant, assess the position, and conclude. Then, specific moves are made to fit that plan and create a functional Job Safety Analysis during the project.

We were on the two-yard line of a calendar year with zero recordables. While playing the safety game, you find yourself constantly playing defense. An excellent blitz package for incidents is similar to the 2019 LSU defense. A few of these defensive schemes are: reviewing JSAs (D-line), trending BBSs (Linebackers), and discussing Near Misses/SWA (Secondary). The most critical blitz of all, the zero man, knows where to find our policies (sacking the other team’s QB).

Stay safe out there, everyone!

THE HSE TEAM IS FOCUSED ON TARGET ZERO.
