“Hola! I grew up in Midland and have lived here for most of my life.

I am the youngest of two girls. I graduated from Midland High in 2011, Go Dawgs! My senior year of high school I started working for Endeavor Energy in their payroll department, after that I joined a small family-owned payroll company. I have been doing payroll for almost half of my life. LOL, I guess you could say I enjoy it. In February of 2020, we moved to Houston and a month later everything shut down due to COVID –not the best time to move, but it just meant more time to spend with my family. My husband and I have two children, a 12-year-old and a 1-yearold. We also have three 4-legged babies, Lucy and Bruce, our dogs, and Biscuit, our horse. We enjoy spending time outside, BBQing, gardening, playing catch or volleyball with our family, and watching baseball games. GO ASTROS!

I remember after I applied at Gravity going to our website to look around and seeing the “Employee Spotlight” section. I had never seen any company recognize their employees in that way, and I remember saying to myself, 'Wow – that’s pretty awesome!' Funny how now it's come full circle. I’ve really enjoyed my time here at Gravity; my supervisor and peers have always been so helpful, and that makes me love my job and truly enjoy coming to work every day, and it also makes it easier.”

This month in history:

August 13, 1961 - The Berlin Wall came into existence after the East German government closed the border between the east and west sectors of Berlin with barbed wire to discourage emigration to the West. The barbed wire was replaced by a 12-foot-high concrete wall, eventually extending 103 miles around the perimeter of West Berlin. The wall included electrified fences, fortifications, and guard posts. It became a notorious symbol of the Cold War. Presidents Kennedy and Reagan made notable appearances at the wall accompanied by speeches denouncing Communism. The wall was finally opened by an East German governmental decree in November 1989 and torn down by the end of 1990.
