Where we started…. In October 2019 its was meant to be a 1 off charity match to raise funds for a national baby loss charity. As the weeks went by more and more bereaved dads in Essex got in touch and meet ups became friendly matches and matches turned into joining a league having 20 families involved with the club. Fast forward 3 1/2 years we now support over 50 families across the county.
Fundraising…. We don’t tend to play charity football matches, we don’t really get time to having a vets and open age side compete in 2 unday leagues and we find across the board teams come and go for one reason or another. Whilst we’re a charity team we’re here to support bereaved families and that to us is more important than any match. We run plenty of events throughout the year that help us fundraise for our chosen charities having raised over £40,000 to date.
