I often times find myself thinking about how resilient this industry is. How skepticism, egos and voyeurism take a backseat to unity, comradery and trust. These past few years have been tough. Issues in which we all have faced, dealt with remarkable perseverance. For the past seventy-five years the Mid-West Fastener Association has been here to support you, guide you and inform you with the tools needed to succeed. We are immensely proud

FASTENER TRAINING WEEK
AUGUST 22nd - 26th BELVEDERE BANQUETS - ELK GROVE, IL Fastener Training Institute will be participating in FSTNR Week by providing their Fastener Training Week program for those desiring to achieve their Certified Fastener Specialist certificate. Rather than seven separate one-day courses spread out over several months, Fastener Training Week offers five intensive days of education covering manufacturing processes, consensus standards and quality

control, as well as plant tours. The week features a refreshed curriculum with learning labs, hands-on interactive class exercises and quizzes to reinforce learning. This week class offers intense education and plant tours. After completing this industry training in a small group environment and passing a final exam, attendees are eligible for the Certified Fastener Specialist™ (CFS) designation. MWFA SPRING GOLF OUTING The MWFA had an informal Golf Outing on May 26th to start off the summer season and give fastener friends a chance to get together before August. Over 60 golfers came out to enjoy the day and the networking. White Pines in Bensenville, IL hosted the event utilizing both their courses to allow the golfers to finish close together

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS DUE SEPT 1st Pass the word to your employees/ coworkers to take advantage of the opportunity for students to apply for a MWFA Scholarship. Several scholarships will be awarded, minimum of $1,500. Employees as well as the child (natural or step) or spouse of an employee, of a duespaid MWFA member are eligible to apply for a scholarship. This applies to all MWFA members who have been members for one calendar year or more. Dues must be current to apply. As a reminder, all Scholarship Applications are due by September 1st, 2022.
