CELEBRATING FSTNR WEEK: A WEEK OF INDUSTRY ACHIEVEMENT AND CONNECTION FSTNR Week unofficially kicked off on Saturday, August 17th, with the Rugged Nuts participating in the 5K Distillery Run x Take Flight Spirits. Around 20+ industry enthusiasts came together for the race and later enjoyed a group lunch at Moretti’s Restaurant in Skokie, IL. Since its start in 2021, this group has grown steadily, and they’re already looking forward to next year’s run. The week officially began on Sunday, August 18th, with a Bed Build event in collaboration with Sleep in Heavenly Peace, an organization dedicated to providing beds for children in need. More than 100 volunteers gathered at the Marriott Lincolnshire to construct 100 beds, working under perfect weather conditions. The day was made even more enjoyable with food trucks— Cheesie’s, sponsored by Brighton Best Int’l, and Kona Shaved Ice, sponsored by BTM Manufacturing—keeping everyone well-fed and refreshed. On Monday, August 19th, participants had the opportunity to tour several companies, including Morgan Ohare, SWD Inc., Big Bolt
LLC, and XL Screw Corporation. These plant tours offered valuable insights into the industry, allowing guests to observe processes firsthand and deepen their knowledge of the fastener world. This year, the Marriott Lincolnshire once again served as the central venue for events. After a full day of plant tours, industry professionals gathered at the Three Embers restaurant for the Welcome Mixer, a new addition to FSTNR Week that replaced the post-show gathering. This event was a fantastic way to reconnect with colleagues and gear up for the days of networking and activities ahead. »»
