2021 Spring Conference May 3rd through May 5th
Southeastern Fastener Association is going back to the beach in 2021! The conference venue will be Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort located in Miramar Beach, Florida. In 2019, SEFA enjoyed their conference at this resort and due to the great feedback; we have chosen to return in 2021. This 2,400 acre resort has more than seven miles (11 km) of beaches and bay front, four golf courses, 15 tennis courts, 19 swimming pools, a 113-slip marina, a fitness center and spa, as well as pedestrian village made up of shops, casual and fine dining restaurants, and nightlife venues. This location allows attendees to enjoy the annual conference while spending time at a great location with many amenities. Attendees may opt to extend their stay at this lovely location. Throughout this crazy year, no matter who we talked to, the first question from you was always about the well-being of our families and our employees. The question was never used as a cliché or as an “ice breaker”. It was genuine. Advance is pleased to announce the promotion of Brad Burel from Director of National Sales to Vice President of Sales. Brad has been with Advance for 16 years, where he started in Account Management, transitioned to the role of Regional Sales Manager, and several years ago was promoted to Director National of Sales. “Advance is excited that Brad will be leading a new initiative to merge the company’s sales and account management teams into a new single unified sales team,” says Gary Cravens, Advance’s President. “Our goal remains to be a customerfocused company, and Brad is key to continuing and expanding our mission.”

William (Bill) Rendace passed away suddenly on August 7th. He is survived by his wife, Maureen and four children (Melissa, Megan, Jillian, and William). Bill grew up in Brooklyn, NY. At age 17, he enlisted in the U.S. Marines and served his country for four years. He moved back home to NY in 1962. He joined the Fastener Industry in 1972, working for Dependable Fasteners in Port Washington, NY. Bill later started his own rep agency, William Rendace & Associates, Bolton Landing, NY, where he represented many fastener manufacturers including Anchor Bolt & Screw and for the last 21 years, Indux, which he represented until his passing. He also started/owned Network Rivet & Fastener, NY. Bill had many professions during his life, including being an inventor. Everyone that knew him was always interested in what he was currently involved in, which always seemed to succeed. Bill’s number one passion was always sales, he was a real people person, genuine, meticulously organized, and always well received throughout the country. He always said, “whatever you do in life, you have to be passionate to be successful”, he was true to his word and truly loved life. Bill made many lifelong friends in the Fastener Industry and had the personality that made it hard not to consider him a friend. Bill was a fixture at Fastener Conventions throughout his close to 50 years in the Fastener Industry. He will be deeply missed.
