Sales initially were only through BaronJon.com, using Barclays as a payment portal to match up with stores, but as the site took off the payment system was replaced for SagePay and later PayPal. A second portal, SoulLeather.com was developed in 2010 with an entirely different front-end design to promote the leather products, managed from the same back end manager.

Partnership with Harmony Harmony’s assistance to BaronJon extends further than the website with online marketing and even a bespoke stock-taking system, where warehouse employees use iPads and barcode scanners to update central stock levels, instantly reflecting on all the sales channels. Returned stock can be scanned and reallocated into the pool, ensuring stock adjustment is instant and synchronised.

BaronJon’s sales are further boosted by their bespoke eBay shop front which in itself acts like a small store.

Once a customer has viewed one of their products they are then able to navigate with ease through the full range of products. This store enables BaronJon to promote discounts and new collections via the store homepage. All of which can be controlled through the BaronJon manager system.

The latest edition to the BaronJon multi-channel system is the Play.com integration. Staff are now able to produce product listings and despatch reports at the click of the button as well as import Play.com orders into the system. All of this is communicated through the API system. This enables them to be as efficient as possible thus giving their customers a very quick and reliable service.

MobilityPitStop.com & BatteryPitStop.co.uk ASP.NET MobilityPitStop.com When MobilityPitStop.com and Harmony first discussed the project, the company had no identity or name, and today, the site draw over 8,000 visitors a month, maintaining a repeat client base as well as drawing in over 70% new visitors each month, with a low bounce rate.

The design of the front end of MobilityPitStop.com has to accommodate for a spectrum of disabilities and impairments. Therefore, care was taken from the very start to ensure the site met the W3C and Bobbie recommendations for standards and accessibility. The interface was designed to meet the government regulations and standards for usability for businesses, ensuring MobilityPitStop.com was compliant.

The brand’s outlook is innovative and forward thinking. The company were finalists in the UK Jewellery Awards 2012.

Bakerbrothersdiamonds.com includes a product catalogue which staff can populate with photography and details about individual pieces of jewellery.

Intelligent searches and filtering assists shoppers to browse the company’s stock, focusing on brands, types, price and even theme.

Once a customer has found their ideal product, they can reserve the item for collection in store, and lower price items can be bought online. The reservation feature was launched ready for Christmas, and its success lead to the additional service of purchase soon after.

The site can also provide one-to-one customer service through the personal shopper. The service allows customers in any location to talk to the staff in store during opening hours, and share and compare items, just as they would in store.
